Racers get your plans made to attend this warmup race. It will be held on Jan. 27th & 28th with practice on 25th and 26th.
This is going to be one of the primere warmup races to attend.

If I can figure out how to create a poll, I want to get feedback from those who will be attending and racing at WOH a couple weeks before this race:

Change track layout to more closely match the birds layout
or
leave the same with 15.5 foot lanes.

The layout change would make it identical to last years birds with the only difference of 5 foot in length. The only drawback would be the ice will be only 8 foot off end walls. We did set it up like this around thanksgiving and the 8 foot off the end walls was no issue.

Sonny just called me and refreshed my memory that the BRL race at Fort Wayne is this same weekend. Therefore we may have to do something about the date maybe. Greenville has their SBWUP the week before. I was even planning on attending the FortWayne race. So many races....
Jan 1st is New Castle Race
Jan 6/7 is BRL race at WOH

Jan 19/21 is Greenville SBWUP
Jan 28/29 BRL Fort Wayne and WOH SBWUP

Feb 6/11 Snowbirds

I will get with Tom the owner of WOH and see what he thinks.

Anyway just for gigles please take poll.

Can't make up my mind on the poll
On another note...what classes are going to run? Do I need to dust off a 19T or will we have any B/L racers?

Well seeing how BL4300 is a CLASS at snowbirds I would assume that BL4300 will be run..

Yes Shawn, so Roger is safe he won't have to worry about the "good" brushes.

Tom has decided to keep the date and encourage those not attending the BRL race to come on out and warmup for the birds or just come and have a great time racing against some of the best.

The date is getting closer and the track that helped to crown the defending 6-cell mod champion is ready to help tune another champion!

Missed the opportunity to vote (pole closed) but my choice would be to leave the length and narrow the straights (just till after Snowbirds).

Lets hear from those that plan to attend and what classes.

Did you guys decide on the layout?

John Foister

Racing schedule has been changed to normal saturday race. Practice on thursday and friday. Friday from 6:30 to 9:00 pm track will be closed for helicopters, but track will be available from 9 till 11:00. Hobby shop will close at 9.

Layout will stay the same. Too many guys can't make their car turn in 40 feet (haha), I don't know what they are going to do when they get to the birds?

Tragic...Think how much bite you will loose when those helicopter blades dry out your freshly sprayed track....

This might call for an all new hypothetical formula calculating how fast you would have gone under ideal track conditions. :freak:

Square root of how many mountain dews hes had X the number of laps he ran the week before + how many secs he is behind Kevin, and divided by how many laps he thinks he should have ran = # of laps he WOULD have run under perfect conditions. :freak:

Using Hays' formula I get 78 4:01.... this is using Monti's normal intake of 17 MD's a day. lol

Have fun racing with the Heli's!!!
