I'm finally finishing a Guillow F6F Hellcat and am wondering what I can cover it with that will give me the smoothest surface? What I'm trying to avaid is the typical "sag" that occurs between ribs and stringers. I've debated planking it with 1/32 balsa but don't know if that will work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I recently finished a JU-8 Stuka by Guilliow's I used the tissue paper provided in the kit ..Since I wasn't building a flying version but a scale version I used Elmer's glue to glue the tissue on with the grain running the correct way,and I had no problems with any sag at all .. I have seen planes sheeted in balsa and they look great.. I was thinking about doing the next Guilliow's kit I get with balsa sheeting so I can do more details like the rivets and ect.. Jeff
