A real quick THANKS to Rick White and the FINISH LINE crew for coming on board to the SWT (South-West Tour) Series for '07.

We'll be using the TRINITY Ultra-Bird 19t motor EXCLUSIVELY with the "F" Brush next year to get control on the 19t class.

Some of the racers were skeptical about these motors, but so far the 2 guys who have tried them have both set TQ's and WON those races against the regular adjustable timed 19t motors.

They both had the same comments... "The Amp Draw was lower than their regular adj. 19t motors, but these thing PERFORMED on the track"

Gotta say thanks to Alan B. My brother bent a Finshline axle in a wicked wreck in a heat race yesterday. The hobby shop was all sold out of them. Alan and I were talking set up when my brother came over to me and said to me the hobby shop was out. Alan had seen what it was, and gave one to my brother. My brother and I have to give a big thanks to Al. Thanks for keeping my brother in the racing program yesterday Al. And thanks for helping us out with setup and motors.

Rick: Thanks for the .125" axle samples you gave me at the Snowbirds... just built another front end with them and I noticed that they are harder and heavier than the previous ones I've been using. Should be tougher to bend as well...I'll let you know how they hold up...

Thanks again.

Ive never had a finishline soft plate..But I know my Finishline firm plates have a small Triangle cut into the center of them, and the medium ones have a double slot...

Solid - no hole - Stiff
Triangle - Firm
Oval - Medium
Double Slot - Soft

I think the site has the oval as softest but the double slot always felt softer to me.

Double slot I believe is called Medium but I agree with you the double slot seems as soft if not softer then the oval....

Any particular brush treatment seem to be working better
than others on the Cobalts?
ie, full, slot, cavity, etc??

thanks.. Dan

dan, i've had my best luck putting medium sized hole in the face with the putnam drill jig.and cut .010 to .015 off the left side of the brush and .005 off the right side of the brush. this is while looking into the brush hoods when sliding the brush in left and right. trailing and leading. use putnam or zubak comm drops i prefer putnam 2 drops on each back side of the brush with brushes installed. oil bushings and break in for 400sec at 2.5 volts. look for 7 to 8.5 amps if amps are more then 8.5 try taking a little more off the right side of the brush or gently round the right edge of the brush with sand paper or file. very carefully. after 2 runs recut comm leave brushes alone oil it put the 2 drops and re break in for 250sec. and your good to go. i picked some of this up from eric salvas using putnam brushes and tuned it a little to find the right spot for f's and it's been working great for me for along time. trust me i buy these things buy the 100's. hope this helps let me know how you make out. Brad Sousa

Hey Rick Just wanted to say thanks for supporting the Dog Race @ MTR the brushes went over well.

I'll second that. Do those brushes ever wear? Since it was a handout motor race and racers were limited to one motor, I ran the same set of brushes for about 4 or 5 practice packs and with just a reskim of the comm about every other run, The serations were still there and I ran my fastest laps in the main in the hottest part of the day and the brushes still look almost new.

I'll say one thing about them, Getcha'some!
