I want to buy a Christmas gift for my son who is 16. What would you recommend for a helicopter? I am looking for something for a beginner. He has experience with Nitro RTR trucks. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I suggest the eflite Blade CX. It has counter rotating main blades. Very easy for a beginer. I have the Blade CP. Not recommended for the first time flyer. The CX can be purchased for about $180. It will come with everything he needs.

there is some features about the Radio that are better like the DSM, it is about 189.99 and it comes with everything you need and is a good bird like rickardracing said for beginers,
