:wave: Greetings all;

This is how I do the slightly opened hoods & doors on my RatRods.
After filling in the hoodlines with black paint & cleaning with thinner I have defining lines for my dremeling.This makes it a lot easier on the eyes & makes for more precise dremeling & filing . for a hood or door I dremel out the original Hood or what ever piece whether door or bumper & cast another replacement part from my junk mold.I find this makes more sense than to saw out the old hood or any other part.In the picture you can see in the left hand side of the picture the partial hood I molded that I will trim to fit the opening that I will have after I dremel out the original hood . On the project car in the rear I already dremeled out the old door & will cut out a new door from the junk body I molded that is in the foreground. Also on the project car I had to superglue a piece of scrap plastic in the r/h wheelwell as a temperary support as the body is now very thin at the wheelwell where the new door will go. To do a "welded" quarter panel or fender I use a thick line of Railroad "Rust" paint & in the middle a thin line of silver paint.
Hope this can be of help.

Neal - This really explains how you get the replacement section look on your rat rods. You really do replace the sections.
Great work.
