Our club is running 1/12 scale brushless. the rule is the Novak motor which is like a hot stocker.
is there a speedo i could use for both or just switch when going to other tracks.
Thanks Dan

GTB is all you will need. It will run 13.5 all the way to 3.5 hot mod brushless and all brushed motors.

The LRP Sphere or Sphere Competition are the other big options to choose from. These do not require a heatsink or fan to run 1/12th.

Dan, I am running the Novak GTB. It does brushed as well as brushless. I've read all over these boards and they say the LRP's are faster. Can't prove it by me.

LRP's are a lot faster to the trash can. I saw 2 of them go up in smoke in less than a hour. You don't need a heatsink or a fan for the 13.5, 4300. I ran a 19t without fan or heatsink with no problems with a GTB.

I have ran my LRP for quite sometime without any glitches. Both LRP and
Novak are good just see which one fits your program the best.

Hey can someone who has removed the heatsink and cap and fan off a gtb put them all on a scale and tell me the total weight of them

If I remember correctly because I put my heatsink back on...it was 18 grams or a little more than half an ounce.

I run a LRP COMP with the 13.5 motor. I have not had any problems whatsoever. I race with mostly GTB's. I don't believe their is a significant difference in terms of perfomance between the GTB and the LRP. BUT, the LRP is smaller.
