Blue Thunder Racing Fuel Presents Live R/C Dirt Oval Racing
with Tony Stewart on RaceTalkLive.Com & 1490 the “Out Law”
Rural Hall, NC (December 7th, 2006) – Victory Lane Productions is set to broadcast radio controlled (r/c) dirt oval racing with 2 time NASCAR Champ Tony Stewart live this Sunday December 10th on RaceTalkLive.Com & WLRT 1490 the “Out Law” Presented by Blue Thunder Racing Fuel.
Tony Stewart and his Customworks & TrueSpeed companies will host the US Open Wheel Dirt Oval Championships. This event will be held at Coopers RC Race Center located in Callands, VA. Customworks is an r/c chassis manufacturing company and TrueSpeed an r/c electric motor and r/c racing batteries supplier is based in Denver, NC and is managed by Rob Cutman.
This dirt oval r/c racing event is as important as the Knoxville Nationals and the World 100 to it’s full scale counterparts. Over 400 entries are expected to make the trip to the indoor racing facility in Southern VA from all four corners of the country with a few coming down from Canada. Pint sized 1/10 scale versions of winged sprint cars, Eastern dirt modified, trucks and late models powered by electric r/c motors and nitro burning engines will race on the 230 foot banked clay oval reaching speeds in excess of 40 mph.
Two rounds of qualifying heat races for all divisions will begin Friday, December 8th and will conclude with the final round of qualifying on Saturday, December 9th. The top 6 cars in qualifying from each division will run a dash race to set the top 6 starting positions for the A main features Saturday evening with some of the lower features to follow. The remaining lower features will hit the track bright and early Sunday morning December 10th.
The US Open Wheel Dirt Oval Championships pre-race show on RaceTalkLive.Com & 1490 the “Out Law” is scheduled to hit the air waves approximately at 1:30 PM (EST) on Sunday, December 10th. The most recognized voice in r/c racing, Scotty Ernst, from Trackside Hobbies & Raceway located in Brookfield, WI will provide the play-by-play call of the racing action with Doc Love and Danny Southard of Victory Lane Productions and hosts of RC Race’n Radio anchoring the broadcast of every A main feature.
