There used to be a 4 door '60 Edset in town. Only 2000 '60 Edsels in all. Brooklin really makes nice models.

NICE STUTZ...The gold trim and white wall tires really sets that Edsel convertible off!

Only 76 of the 1960 Edsel convertibles were made...

I prefer the chrome trim instead. I'm a stickler for realism :)

I didn't know that only 76 1960 Edsel convertibles were made. Thanks for the info.

The trim is chrome, sorry if it appears to be gold in the pic.

YUP : Only 76 conv's were built for 1960 . Just last month a record was set when one restored to perfection was sold at auction for $170,000 + !!!! Previous high was $70,000 ... Only other Edsel to bring similar $$$ is a 58 Citation conv . Most Edsels are under $15,000 . If its a 4dr - 10 grand would be a miracle . I would hope Brooklin would do a better job on theirs . The blue is correct for Cadet blue , but the interior color is wrong ( which is common with Brooklin cars) . Blue wasnt availble in convs as an interior color , it would of been black & silver . I hope they do release it in another color . Its never been released a 2nd time . There were 2 limited specials done though.
The pic is of the turquoise one , that sold for big $$$.

The trouble now seems to be Fords with Edsel fenders selling. I saw a 58 retractable that had Edsel body parts. A retractable that looks like a 58 Edsel has lots of attention.

Mtchbxtom, There are lots of converted Edsels out there . Ive seen 2 58 Retractibles , 1 59 Retractable , numerous Edcheros ( Ranchero) , Sedan Delivery , Limo , etc . Anything Ford made , but not Edsel ... Not always an easy conversion , but do-able . There are also some Edsel Taxis , Police & race cars out there . Edsel did sell to police depts for real , so some are accurate replicas . The real rarities are the Amblewagon Edsels . Very few were made in 58 & 59 . These are wagons converted to ambulance by the Amblewagon Co. There are probably pics on the web somewhere . On yahoogroups edselmail , there are some in their photofiles ..
