hi gang

it's my birthday today :hat: .. i am NOT looking for any wellwishes or anything - i'm much too old for that! besides, how were you ta know??

i just wanted to share with you my present ...

the ever-resourceful "she who must be obeyed" (i hope everyone knows "Rumpole of the Bailey") found me a prize on everyones favorite auction site ... hmmm ... wonder how i missed it? but, i love the present, and the presenter!

i don't know any of the story as to who made it or even where, but when i find out, i'll fill in the details! whoever he is, he did a fabulous job ... all hand made chassis, the detailed front end pivots with the guide post, beautiful tires and rims, the paint and flames are awesome ...

when one has a girl like mine, one doesn't need ta wait for carrera!!

i don't really wanna drive this baby, but i would like to hear everyones opinion on this one - is this vehicle supposed to be driven and enjoyed that way, or "shelved" and admired and enjoyed that way??

have a great weekend gang .. me and my new (shelf) queen will be downstairs - cheers !

bye bye

Nice hot rod! I haven't seen a chassis built like that since back in the '60s. You've got a real find there.

That is an AWESOME find for sure! If I were you (and no, I'm not, but you asked for an opinion - HA!), I'd run that thing for as many laps as my birthday age and then shelf it. As Ragnar said, you don't see custom work like that every day, but you have got to run it and see how it feels.

Congratulations on the AWESOME birthday gift and for having one great girl!

Now that is really cool! (and happy B-day...)
Your SWMBO found a real winner for you there...
And as for you other question. It has a motor in it doesn't it?

A really nice car, a really cool wife too

My birthday is tomorrow but I don't think my half "who-rule-at-home-but-not-always" will offer me plastic cars :-)
