i broke down and bought the mountain challenge set when it first came out for $39.99 just for this car. the kids have just as much fun playing with the set even though they are only playing with the cheap plain red McQueen. :o
Wyatt 11-28-2006, 08:45 AM Cool, thanks for the pictures!

As Pewter02WS6 said, it's from the Mountain Challenge set, but I got lucky and found it at a local flea market for $10. Didn't mind paying that at the time, instead of getting the whole set. But now I hear it's available on a card. Just a matter of waiting for it to show up.
Buildings??? They've got buildings??????.
There's four playsets (buildings) that have been issuued:
Luigi's Casa della Tires
Ramone's House of Body Art
Curio Shop
one more playset that I'm missing, Flo's V8 Cafe. Nice thing about all of them, is that the sign's light up. A couple of AAA batteries power them up and they're quite cool. My son's already run through a set of battries on each. :p

See what you miss by not looking past the JLs. :p
Wish I had the space for them.

d.o.m.001 11-29-2006, 07:33 PM Was lucky to find 2 new cars today. The Hudson Hornet (probably my favorite casting of all of them) and the Radiator Springs McQueen. Now just gotta find a few more.

terry9911 11-29-2006, 09:39 PM I've seen all the sets of buildings at Kmart, except for Flo's Cafe, which is the one I want the most. I did buy Ramones Bodyshop hoping to use this set with my JL and Hot Wheels cars. At $20. per building I can't afford to buy the whole town.
dragon-king 11-30-2006, 11:37 PM i have all the cars for my 4 year old and it cost a pretty penny to collect them......damn that Radiator Springs looks AWESOME....now i'm gonna have to spend more bucks to get the sets cause i didn't expect them to look so good!!! I've been able to find EVERY car on the list from KB Toys...they are more reliable than Wal-mart or Target....
d.o.m.001 12-02-2006, 05:50 PM Added one more resident to my Radiator Springs Town. It's the blue Mater from the Maters Rollin Bowlin set. Different from the current blue Mater that is just coming out, as this one has a very heavy black lettering on the sides.
