Well, it's ready! The dirt oval at Victory R/C Hobbies in Green Bay, WI is set to open on Monday night 11/27/2006! Doors open at 4PM and racing starts at 7PM. The first night will be free racing as we may have a couple bugs to work out but the track is already getting a groove.

Weekly racing on the dirt Tri-oval will be on Monday nights at 7PM (doors open at 4PM) and most* Saturday afternoons at 1PM (doors open at 9AM). *We will keep you posted as to when we may have special races on the carpet track on Saturdays which will make the dirt val only open for practice on those days. The forst practice only Saturday will be Dec. 9th for ther BRL race.

Here's the classes so far:

Here's what we have been thinking... it's a rough draft, but a start. We do want to try to keep with waht some dirt oval racers in the area have been running.

18th Scale Stock: The stock class will be stock motored and stock type 6-cell (18th scale) batteries. (no LiPo's here) Foam or smooth rubber tires, no pins or treads. Wedge or mini-stocker bodies with spoilers.

18th Scale Modified: Aftermarket mod brushed or brushless motors. LiPo packs are legal. Foam or smooth rubber tires. Wedge or Mini-stocker bodies with spoilers and/or side-dams.

10th Scale Touring Stock: Stock brushed Motor. 6-Cells up to 4300. Rubber touring car tires. Wedge bodies with rear spoiler.

10th Scale Touring 19-Turn: Spec-class fixed timing 19-turn motor (Komodo Dragon, C2, etc.) 6-cells up to 4300. Rubber touring or Foam tires. Wedge bodies with rear spoiler.

Bolink Legends: Stock brushed motor. 6-cell spec pack (pre assembled by the manufacturer). Bolink Legends body. Foam Spec tires by Bolink or BSR.

Winged Sprint Car: This is an open mod class... 6-cells, brushed or brushless, foam tires... let er rip!

Dominators: I'm thinking a 6-cell, 19-turn Spec motor, foam tires but we will see what the racers want.

10th Scale Stock Truck: Stock Brushed motor, 6-Cell 4300 max. Foam tires. Oval Bodies allowed.

10th Scale Modified Truck: Mod brushed or brushless motor, 6-cell 4300 max. Foam tires. Oval kits and bodies allowed.

EDM's or rear wheel drive Late Models as we get more into it.

I think that covers it at least for a start. Let us know what you think!

Hope to see you guys Monday night!

allrighty

Oval on carpet is this saturday... doors will open at 9am (if not sooner) racing is 3 quailifers and a main starting at 12 noon.

Dirt oval practice will also be on that day so all fequncy pins are required for all running.

The normal schedule for the dirt tri-oval is Monday nights at 7pm and Saturday afternoon at 1PM. (unless we have a special race on the carpet like the BRL on Dec 9th) When there is a special race on Saturday, the dirt tri-oval will still be open for practice.

Thanks! Brian

No problem! The dirt track will be open. That goes for anyone coming to the BRL race and wants to run some laps on the tri-oval... bring your dirt oval cars!

It has been discussed on dirt oval but not to any great length.
Just a thought here, maybe someone from victory could do a post on dirt oval and show some pics of the track and maybe of some cars running on it.
Great way to get your name out there and to get exposure.

Hey all, things are starting to pick up now on this great new Clay tri-oval. We've been having an absolute blast running late model with 19T motors..stop in and give it a try!

What chassis are most of the guys using running late model 19T?
Also is anyone running MOD TRUCK or EDM class?

old fart- Theres a few guys running the Tc3/4, a few guys that are running X-Ray T2's, I'm running a Losi xxxs..

There doesn't seem to be a huge advantage to one chassis over another...All cars seem very evenly paced, with lap times mostly in the low 4 second range with the occassional 3 second lap....and most of all we all have LOTS of fun!

Feb 3rd Dirt oval race ( got to get approval for it)

Feb 10th Prostar will have the Cheeseland race at Wheels n Motion. Check there thread for news or questions or contact the people on there web site

Feb 24th ROAR REG 5 Carpet oval Champs will be tons of fun

All this not to mention weekly racing on all tracks

DIRT OVAL

Currently we are running 19trns in the 4wh drive latemodels and 4300 brushless and allowing sidedams. It helps make the cars more racable. We have quite a bit of interest in a stock motor class of these but without a sidedam. Without the power of the 19trns The guys that want to run stock also don't want the sidedams.

Becasue of the power difference 13.5 will not be allowed in any stock classes

2wh drive ( intimidators ) will be brushed stock for now until a class of mod wants to run
these will have the sidedams

Bascially we are going to go will the roar style rule

If you are wondering about classes for the dirt oval
If there are at least 2 of you you will run
