Well, it's ready! The dirt oval at Victory R/C Hobbies in Green Bay, WI is set to open on Monday night 11/27/2006! Doors open at 4PM and racing starts at 7PM. The first night will be free racing as we may have a couple bugs to work out but the track is already getting a groove.
Weekly racing on the dirt Tri-oval will be on Monday nights at 7PM (doors open at 4PM) and most* Saturday afternoons at 1PM (doors open at 9AM). *We will keep you posted as to when we may have special races on the carpet track on Saturdays which will make the dirt val only open for practice on those days. The forst practice only Saturday will be Dec. 9th for ther BRL race.
Here's the classes so far:
Here's what we have been thinking... it's a rough draft, but a start. We do want to try to keep with waht some dirt oval racers in the area have been running.
18th Scale Stock: The stock class will be stock motored and stock type 6-cell (18th scale) batteries. (no LiPo's here) Foam or smooth rubber tires, no pins or treads. Wedge or mini-stocker bodies with spoilers.
18th Scale Modified: Aftermarket mod brushed or brushless motors. LiPo packs are legal. Foam or smooth rubber tires. Wedge or Mini-stocker bodies with spoilers and/or side-dams.
10th Scale Touring Stock: Stock brushed Motor. 6-Cells up to 4300. Rubber touring car tires. Wedge bodies with rear spoiler.
10th Scale Touring 19-Turn: Spec-class fixed timing 19-turn motor (Komodo Dragon, C2, etc.) 6-cells up to 4300. Rubber touring or Foam tires. Wedge bodies with rear spoiler.
Bolink Legends: Stock brushed motor. 6-cell spec pack (pre assembled by the manufacturer). Bolink Legends body. Foam Spec tires by Bolink or BSR.
Winged Sprint Car: This is an open mod class... 6-cells, brushed or brushless, foam tires... let er rip!
Dominators: I'm thinking a 6-cell, 19-turn Spec motor, foam tires but we will see what the racers want.
10th Scale Stock Truck: Stock Brushed motor, 6-Cell 4300 max. Foam tires. Oval Bodies allowed.
10th Scale Modified Truck: Mod brushed or brushless motor, 6-cell 4300 max. Foam tires. Oval kits and bodies allowed.
EDM's or rear wheel drive Late Models as we get more into it.
I think that covers it at least for a start. Let us know what you think!
Hope to see you guys Monday night!
