REGGIE'S DAD, The Billy Leader was originally scheduled for Dec 30. When Bruce found out that CRC was holding there big race on that weekend, he changed it as to not interfere with there race.

Hi Guys,

All is shaping up well for the New Year Dash carpet oval event at CRC Raceway in Rome, NY. We are expecting another great turnout of the finest oval racers in the Northeast.

Pete D'Agnolo has confirmed he will be here. I would expect to see Stevie "Rocket" Miller, Mike Murphy, Steve Pemberton and Bill Osborn. Should be another classic battle on the oval at CRC Raceway.

For those who want a bit of testing, on Sunday December 17, we will run a combo road/oval race. Road course will be up first, doors at 10 AM with racing starting at 11:30 AM. We will have 1/12th spec and stock and touring cars on the road course. Then, at 2:30 - 3:00PM the oval will go up and racing at around 4 PM. We should have you heading home around 7. Expect 12th + 10th DD stock and 19 turn, as well as Stock truck.

$10 for oval or road only, $15 for all day, another CRC low dough show.

C-ya there.

12th + 10th DD stock and 19 turn?????????

I assume this means you plan to have 12th stock class? What is DD Stock?

Stock truck---Any special rules? battery?,tires?,motor?......is this pan truck(nastruck)? or more like losi,T4?

What are your hours for the weekend of the 30th?

johnnywhopper

"DD" means "direct drive", another title for Pan Car.

12th scale is always the biggest, most supported class here. Ask anyone who has been here, if you want some good close 12th scale racing, this is the place to be. if you total up the heats between stock and 19T we get about as many 12th entries as Snowbird's.

10th stock also has a very good field.

10th 19T and stock truck also get multiple heats.

Rules for the truck class: must have truck arms, truck tires, gear reduction transmission, and truck body (no car bodies). "Outlaw" truck type bodies from McAllister, Factory Works, etc. are allowed.

Hours/schedule for the weekend are on the race flyer/entry form which can be found by clicking here - http://www.teamcrc.com/crcraceway/downloads/NEWYEARDASH12-06.pdf

Also, there is a good sized group of us (7 - 9 so far i believe, maybe more) that are going to the Billy Leader Race at Walt's Hobby the following weekend.

It's going to be awesome! 2 back-to-back weekends of some of the best short track racing in the country, and it's all here in the NorthEast!
