Someone needs to sand down those unsightly lumps to create a more aerodynamic appearance. Since the surface is so delicate, though, one should not use sandpaper - nothing more abrasive than the human hand itself. Or, perhaps, using saliva as a solvent, applied with an oral applicator. I'm willing to give it a try and report back. I will also be glad to practice the technique on any extra similar models that the studio has lying around.
