Just finished watching the Donner cut of Superman 2 on DVD.....
I thought it was great - it was just a shame they had to use some of the theatrical release material - they at least managed to cut out much of the cheese from those scenes.
The Pre-credit sequence is a little off but it soon picks up from there - a real shame this wasn't the way things were meant to be!

In the UK, monday - so it should be out in the US I would have thought.
It's a twin pack DVD with both the Lester and Donner cuts.
Edit: seems its not out in the US yet but you'll be able to get just the donner cut on its own instead of the twin pack!

I ordered the big boxed set which includes the Donner Cut of S:2 for my son as a birthday/Christmas present for this December. He's really big in to Supes and I figured he'd really enjoy it.

There's a "premiere" screening for charity of the Donner Cut at a theater here in L.A. on Saturday.
Theres loads of extras with the Lester cut and a commentary from the producers.
They seemed to love the Lester 'humour' - I see why whem during the commentary one of them says "...He destroys the whole bloody set, I mean I say bloody but there isn't any bloody, the set isn't bloody - it's just a figure of speech!" - he seemed to think that was hillarious!
I got the impression that the cast weren't too impressed with Lester - you get the odd glimpse during a making of section.
