Just a heads up , beware of dealing with Herb(Herb Oloughlin from Sanford NC) been 2 weeks since he said he got the MO and haven't heard from him since(at least he nice enough to tell he got the money) . I have emailed and PM him with no response , So i think i took another one for the team, YEAH!! Why can't ppl be more honest the only thing they hurt is the site because ,everyone is worried about getting screwed. But then again they say we are like a family on here and that is usually who puts it to you !!!

Thanks for the help looks like he stuck on that site too, what a great guy and to think he is the VP at that track. Hope they are fitting him for a striped suit for the ebay screwings and the others that he has done it too.

Butters, have you tried calling him? I recently moved to NC and live about 30 minutes from him. I know people's emails can change and what-not, but there is a phone number listed for him on thr track page. If there aren't some extenuating circumstances that he offers over the phone, I wouldn't mind swinging by the track one day to ask him about it face to face for you. I got screwed over once, and I'd do about anything to find the little prick that got me. Let me know if you can get hold of him on the phone and what he says, then I'll see about going to the track for a race.

Thanks i'm going to try to call him , this is second time i got shaft and both times it has been by someone running a track,( I'm President of local track and it pisses me off that they would do that to fellow racers)

It makes me mad and I haven't been ripped of yet. Use to you could trust people on Hobbytalk. But the thieves have found their way here. If anybody has any problems with someone one in Cal, let me know. We need to stick together and try to stop this.

first off I am FMRC on radio controled zone HErd is no longer a member of our club he has been MIA for a couple of months I think he cant get to the stuff right now I am looking into it I found out somethings this week and are looking into it he owes me money too so I want to say on behaf of the Fayetteville Modle Racing Club I am sorry for this he is banned from racing with us but like I said I dont think he can race for a good while anywhere

This club is not like that we havent seen him in forever and he owes most of us all something. me a reciever luckly after being away for a while he gave me stuff to make up what he owed me but thats only couse he needed money was trying to sale something else.. Fayetteville has a great club and a great group of folks to race with. Please dont let him give the wrong name of us down here. every time i have tried to call him i never got an answer.

of course its not the "club" , its the person... but sometimes all it takes is one apple to spoil the whole batch.... but i am sure most of us appreciate the feedback from fellow racers who know.

i hope this gets resolved with butters, regardless of the issues and problems "herb" has... i hope also for his sake, he resolves them.

This the 1st time in all the yrs. since we been on the S&S boards, that this much ripping people off is in the open. It has gotten a lot worse. What i'm doing.......i'm not sending anything out to people, that we don't know, until we receive their M/O......then the item goes out. This is not directed to any of the major players....you know who you are. It's still some trust worthy board members here, that really like doing this....not just for the business, but for the fun and hobby. I hope the people, that is being accused of the wrong doing read this and understand, that this in not "COOL". Alot of time, we as board members, are trying to others started in the hobby and is depending on you guys to deal honest buy sending out the items you said you would and what ohters have paid you for. This also means send out what you said you would and in the order you said it was.

FOR THE PEOPLE, WHO'S NOT DOING THE RIGHT THING......LETS DO THE RIGHT THING.

I feel sorry for people, who land on the hard time island, but no 1 will know, if you don't say anything. So don't be too proud to do so HERB. This is what it's all about.....letting people you deal with know you have a problem and sometime they can and do help or make thing, just a little easier. :)

I can appreciate him being on hard times. BUT, Butters sent him a MO ( read CASH) and is waiting for the item he bought. If Herb couldn't send the item he should have sent the money back. By keeping it he decided to cheat Butters. Just because you are having hard times, doesn't mean that you get to suspend your honesty. :(

Ok guys I just wanted to come on here and let everyone know that I also used to race with this guy at Sandhills raceway. He was indeed the track director of the off-road track this summer. To my knowledge no one has heard from im since early october. Thats the last time we ran at the track. The next few weeks he just didnt show up. No call saying that the track was closed r anything. I have hi scell phone # but I have tried to call it many times with no response. Herb is truly a good guy even though his actions at this current time do not show that. He too has a few things of mine that I'd like to get back that are worth a few $$ to say the least. As I said though to my knowledge no one has spoken to him since the last race weekend we had. I only hope that all is good with him and his family but im not sure. As with most local racers you become a family. I would have considered him "family" at our track. If I can get ahold of him in any way I will personally find out where everyones things are and eithe rsend them out if he is unable to return the $ that is owed. However it seems like contacting him is a lost cause at this time. He has truly stumped all of us at the track with his actions and disapearance. But I will continue to try as he has a GFX charger and a brushless system that he borrowed of mine.
