Missed out on this 67 King Size GMC with Fruehauf hopper trailers on fleabay. Forgot I was supposed to be watching the auction for it . Oh well just have to keep looking.
Had this same one when I was a child. Left it unattended for about 15 minutes at the beach while on vacation with my parents in Miami ,and when I came back to my "excavation" it was gone. That was almost 39 years ago.
Funny how seeing an old toy brings back memories. :)

King Size and Major Packs are finally getting their due. Buy them now while you can still afford them.

I still have my childhood example but it is very playworn.I liked to transport sand and orange powder paint -it still shows traces of the time the paint was wet......I havenīt seen the Superfast version of this -was it made?
I have picked up some SuperKings this summer as the price was nice and lower than regular wheels.I also prefer the brighter colors :dude: but then I was a transitional child ;) Who has this truck?

I'll be suprised if I can ever afford one. I was beat out on another auction this week :( and saw one go way out of my price range :drunk: . Thanks to Whimsical I now have the rear tandem trailer, now if I could just win one of the auctions ending tonight I'll either have a complete set or a triple bottom

I went to a toyfair today -and remembering this post inspired me to pickup this unwanted K4 GMC in fair slightly playworn condition(but much better than my childhood example) for $7.
Mountain -I like the box art -it really sets off the truck but these boxes are very hard to find and expensive usually -I walked away from a $4 good paint trailer (yellow blue for the Dodge) missing its hook today-The mint K10 pipe truck in the tatty box cost me $20 today.I was very lucky with my finds today -last event before Christmas apart from e bay-the black Corgi rockets Mercedes is the pick of these for me -I have wanted one for 10 years to replace my trashed childhood example.I already have an F Box SF Iso in my collection so this one was a fairly cheap buy ($36) to sell on -car is not mint

Today I cleaned up my childhood trailer and hooked it up to the GMC set I bought on sunday -its the first time I have īdriven` one of these in 30 years :dude:
The trucks in this photo all have some chips but none of them are trashed. I figured this whole lot cost me almost $80 to buy, near $100 with the boxed K10 shown above these plus 8 that were already in my collection make up my Kings collection -while I would like boxes ,I have a house to pay for so these previously cherished toys fit my budget :hat:
