Thanks for any help Bill SplitPoster 11-18-2006, 01:44 PM I got some silicones from Weird Jack that are noticably wider but have stock appearance. mtyoder 11-18-2006, 04:16 PM Yeah, what he said. I think wizzard and REH make some too, but the profile isn't scalloped like the tjet ones. If you run sand jl fronts they work pretty good too. Grippy, but a little more forgiving in the corners. ParkRNDL 11-18-2006, 06:12 PM Somebody was working on a wide silicone tire that had the inside edge molded with a recess that fit over the flange on a stock Tjet wheel. Did that make sense? What I mean is that the tire is as wide as the whole rim, including the flange, and the inner edge of the tire is molded to fit over the rim flange... Actually, I think it was Tom Nagler, who makes Thunderslicks. Lemme see if I can find a link... --rick GM454 11-18-2006, 06:55 PM Just saw this on the thunderslicks webpage (thunderslicks.com). Hope they don't stay away too long. I really like running the thunderslicks for racing on stock tjet rims. copied and pasted from the thunderslics website: Attention Thunderslicks Fans - Thunderslicks is shutting down for an indefinite period of time. The original molds will be packed away safely, and may return to operation at some point in the future. Thanks for all the business! ParkRNDL 11-18-2006, 08:38 PM Oops. Yeah I just got that too. I really like the look of his whitewalls, too. Oh well... --rick A/FX Nut 11-19-2006, 08:39 AM Somebody was working on a wide silicone tire that had the inside edge molded with a recess that fit over the flange on a stock Tjet wheel. Johnny Lightning/Autoworld have copied them. I wish I could find more originals. Randy. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
