this picture was used in combination with an article about importing cars to the u.s. in 1973 :) nice how they used matchbox cars in a ship :)

Surely Ford built the Capri in the USA,not euro imports?????? Europeans have a long tradition of building luxury motors for the USA -but probably the only Ford Cortina Mk2´s sent to the USA were built by Lesney :thumbsup:

TO SMS88: The 70's Capris were exported to the US from Germany from 1971-1978. They weren't built in the US. Mark II Cortinas were sold from 1967-1970 thru US Ford dealers. These were built in the UK and exported.
PS: Great picture find, very nostalgic.
