To start things off here I thought I'd post a few pictures of the new SUV I got recently. It's a little funky but is something that really fits my lifestyle as I can now use it to pit out of when I RC race. Below are a couple of pictures.

Been doing a few small mods to the Element and just got a set of Michelin X-Ice winter tires. The weather can get nasty around here so figured it's better to be safe the sorry. BTW, going for the stealth look here with black wheels, blacked out trim, etc... still more to do on this front ;)

Hankster! Glad to see you back posting.

As for your Element, pretty neat little truck. On your black scheme, what about some carbon or black tails? I don't know if they even make them for the Honda, but that would add to the stealth of the truck for sure.

I'd like to get a Toyota FJ cruiser, just for fun. However, no money means NO.

Look forward to your updates.
Glad you are back.
Chris

There is a carbon hood available. The fender panels are already plastic. When the weather turns better again I was thinking of getting some 18" black mags of some type but a lot of people have mags style wheels. Now think I am going to get another set of 16" steel wheels yhen get some solid disk covers and powder coat them black... did a little photoshop to see what it would look like :)

I was looking at an FJ but 28 grand is a little too much for me!

Very interesting concept, so much so that Honda a released they're own version. The OEM rims should not be used on reg Elements according to Honda any way, diff suspension set up.

Since the intro of the E there has been a mag wheels option. The EX model comes standard with aluminum wheels.

Honda is full of it. They are the same size and offset of the stock 16" wheels and size that 100s of Elements are equipped with. They just don't want to delute the new models with look-alike older models. Would also guess it's a CYA statement too.

A quote from another site: "parts manager here at the dealership spoke directly to the person at Honda that issued the bulletin, he said the bulletin was issued because dealers have been purchasing large numbers of the wheels and Honda has not "FORMALLY TESTED" them on the other Element models - however, when questioned about it, he could not come up with even a single technical reason why the wheels would not work on the other models - other than they have not been "tested".

They were buying them up, for dirt cheap like $150.00 ea,

When they first came out you could get them for $90 a wheel. Honda doubled the price once they firgured they were so popular.

Photoshop away!

Great job on the stealth scheme! That's a neat looking way to go and probably a lot less expensive than going all flashy.

I've been thinking of doing something similar to my 1992 Buick Roadmaster. It's got the hood ornament and the spoked wheel covers, both of which I don't care for though I like the car very much otherwise. I like things simple. When my trunk lid pull down motor went out, I fashioned a new catch and bolted it in so that it slams like a regular trunk lid now.

BTW: I like your wheels without the covers--the plain Jane look evokes a sort of military utilitarianism.

Decided to get some of the full moons and have them powder coated black. We'll see how they look when done... might like them and might not.

eeesh...... although, at least honda got smart and ditched the plastic fenders on the new ones

There still plastic, some come smooth and painted some dont depending on the model you get.
The 07 Element S/C is my fav, comes lowered w/18" wheels, different lights, fenders, bumpers, interior, even has carpet in it!

I sell parts at a Honda dealer, if you need anything for it LMK, employee prices.
