Anyone looking for some good carpet racing the weekend after Thanksgiving, come on down to Minnreg. We have great competition, race the same Snowbird carpet and size and allow Paragon. Good practice and a great place to race!

Snowbirds? Is that some new race happening this year or something? LOL

Looking forward to another great year at the Birds Mike. This is one race that I always look forward to as I get to talk to all my oval buddies at an on-road race....or could it be my old oval buddies get to talk to me at an oval race? LOL

Mr. Bill Macaroni,

I have been trying to access the donut website you referenced and it says the site has exceeded it's bandwidth?? There is also a note saying Matt Tyson and Jim Dieter have overloaded the server.

There is a rumor that you might grace us with your presence in Orlando, Is this true??

Hope to see you soon! :)

NO Brushless motors in Modified Oval...Bad call imo. Especially, since they are allowed in the road couse mod classes.

Let the Brushless motors have their chance on the world's biggest stage...

IMO leave brushless in there own class, both oval and onroad.

Onroad has been running brushless and brushed together. And from what I've read in the mag sent to me brushed has been winning anyway.

But I agree that they should be seperate classes.

I posted last night and edited it, as I wanted to double check this morning...

Roar is not mixing them in oval next year, so I wanted to try and stay consistant with their rules. They have been mixing them with road for over a year now which is why we are allowing them in road. I know we are not Roar but many tracks follow Roar rules and guidelines....

In Vegas at the IIC 1/12 mod was 5 brushed and 5 BL. Brushed won but Jon Orr was closing in very rapidly over the last 2 min of that race.

My only thing is when are we going to see a heads up race between the two in oval? No one will really know until it happens and there is not better place for it to happen than the Snowbirds.

Just imagine, coming to Snowbirds and bringing one motor and never having to take it out of the car the entire week?!?!? What a better week that would make.

I am pushing hard for brushless because A) I want to be at the head of the pack for the obvious inevitable and B) it has brought some fun back into racing not just for me but for a lot of guys I know.

Knowing I'm going to have equal HP and it will be there every single time I go on the track is a peace of mind you can never have with Brushed motors.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I am not saying I am against them, just that I had to make a call to try and make the most satisfied. I talked to a quite a few and many still want them seperate in oval. Roar is not allowing them for 2007 in modified oval, so really this is the main reason we stayed brushed one more year. Most will be going off of Roar rules and getting ready for the Roar nats right after Birds... maybe 08!

In 2008, you could do 4 cell brushed mod and 6 cell "run what ya brung and hope you brung enough" mod. These are the factory guys so the brushless cost should not be a factor if they are truly faster.

Cheers!

i think that pete has a great idea for this year. 4 cell brushed 6 cell open

I’m thankful Mike is letting us run 4300 this year and I look forward to the future when running Brushless Mod Oval won’t be a question.

As it stands now the current Brushless mod systems are a good bit faster then the brushed motors even with those special $30 a pair team brushes that some ran last year (and I’m not talking retail).

The Birds in 07 will be great race so let’s got to Florida and have some fun.

11.27.06 - NEW HANDOUT MOTORS FOR 2007
A change in handout motors is coming for 2007! The very popular Komodo Dragon will now be used in the 19 turn road course racing. For oval, the Ultrabirds will still be used in 19 turn classes. We will be handling out the blue CO27 for all stock classes, in road and oval. Now racers will be able to use more of their handouts in other racing events, as most all tracks allow these three in their racing rules. All stock and 19 turn classes include a motor in their entry fee, and extras will be available at the event. We may allow racers to prepay for extra motors online. Stay tuned.

WOW!

It would be nice to prepay for an extra motor beforehand and maybe use paypal for the whole deal.
