I found a Lincoln Navigator and a Vette convertible today in the Christmas Tree shop toy aisle. Limited edition, 4000 made, plastic base. The card is fully enclosed in plastic, says City Wheels, with New York City below it. Also comes with a trading card. One is the Empire State Building, the other is the Brooklyn Bridge.
I couldn't find anything on their website, the search came up empty.
Best part is they were only $1.00 each.
Anyone know anything about these?

I saw those for sale someplace on the web. Quality did not look too good to me from the picture I saw but at $1.00/ea they would be worth it. Do they look as good as the other Greenlight stuff in person?

I don't have any other Greenlight cars. I actually bought two of each, one set for the wheels. Of the two, I like the Vette. It would be better if it had a metal base, but the Vette looks pretty good, silver body, black interior with red seats. I have to take it apart though as the plastic base hangs below the bottom of the rocker panels. Something will have to be trimmed to raise it a little and allow the car to sit lower.
From what I remember, these were early GL product that was not done with current GL quality. They showed up in early summer in good numbers at the Ollies discount chain in my area. There are still a few hanging in those stores.
I think there were four models but other than the ones you mentioned I only remember a Mini Cooper.

You can still get them at diecastalley.com (thanks for the link pms485). But I think I'll try my luck searching another Christmas Tree Shop for the Mini as it's done as a Taxi. There's two variations on the Mini, one with a white roof, one with a black roof.
I had emailed Greenlight to ask about them this morning, and received a reply a short time ago with all the info. Friendly and fast response, very nice.

Yes those were old, old GL stuff. And yes the quality on those are quite poor compared to thier new MCG goodies. Greenlight has come a long ways since the days of those City Wheels. ;-)

The 4th model was a Ford Expedition and the castigs were subsequently IDd as originating from MotorMax in 2002.
