Hey guys carpet season is upon us again.. Just wanted to throw out a few updates.. We just got the first prototypes of our new front end done this week.. My buddy jeff and i will be testing them over the next few weeks.. The front end is the most adjustable front end ever offered.. It wont require any add ons either.. It has every adjusment needed, and then some.. Right now the proto's are aluminum, but we are looing at other materials for people who worry about weight issues.. we actually made these a little heavier then the standard front end to help the car turn more.. Ill keep everyone posted on how the testing goes over the next few weeks.

Also MSA just got another loadof shimkits in stock.. Lefthander, and murdock also have them now as well..

Thanks to everyone so far for there support, keep your eyes peeled for more cool new stuff..

Jeff and I are also going to be running a new car as well.. I dont know if we will ever produce it , but ive always wanted my own car so eric over at darkside is helping me finnally get some one off cars made.. If you see Jeff or myself at a race, stop over and check the car and the front end out..

As always, and questions or comments you can reach us at PERFECTCIRCLERC@YAHOO.COM

Ok guys, here is the pics.. Here is a few features of the front end..

1 Infinite front width.. you dont need plates to change how wide the front end is.. Just slide the lower beam in or out to desired length.

2 Infinite upper arm length adjutment.. the caster block move on the beam..

Infinite caster adjustments.. you can tilt the block forward for reactive caster, or keep it centered, and move the upper arm like a normal style frot end.. we have also found if you angle the caster block back, it gives you a non reactive type of caster.. what thismeans is on a normal front end the kingpin changes angle as the suspension compresses.. With angling it back, the kingpin never changes it angle..

4 The blocks are lower then standard, you can run your tires as small as you want on the front now.. You can also run the ball stud on the left arm on the bottomwithout it hitting the lower arm.. This takes away the need for a toe corrector..

We weighed this front end aganst a standard front end and it weighs aprox 7/10ths more.. NOTE we used steel lower rods . We have decided to stick with the steel lower rods.. the added weight is minimal, but the strength of the steel is well worth the trade off..The steel also allows you to clamp down on it harder then if it were aluminum..

we are currently making about 5 kits right now to either sell to a few people, or borrow them to some people to help test.. We wantto get some to people who have vast knowledge of front end tuning.. This way we can have a outside the box opinion on how it works..

here are some pics..

Im assuming ALOT from the interest in the new CRC front end. I think people are looking for an easier adjustable front end from SOMEONE...... with everything there. Not a $50 front end that you gotta sink another $50 into to get where you want it......

Im not sure i understand what you mean,, do you mean our front end needs another 50 to complete it, or the crc?? Our will have evrything from the start..
Depending on our pricing, it will either be complete, or only require the use of your existing upper arm assembley.. less them 10 dollars in parts.. were going to try to make it as reasonabley price as we can..

Burbs, that was what i was saying. This fronend looks complete!! Like i dont have to go out and buy $50 caster blocks, $20 lowered IRS arms, $25 toe correcter.

I was eyeing up the CRC, but you have my eye now.... or at least your front end does... man that doesnt sound good..

hey Burbs front end looks real good any results on testing yet?

Hey Bro..unfortunatley there has only been one race day of carpet here so far.. My buddy jeff, the other half of PC ran it that day.. He said the car had alot smoother feel then the standard style front end.. He said it also felt more predictable.. The car turned like a mad man.. He liked it because his car is usually tight... With the angleing of the caster blocks back, he said it really camled the car down.. Next week we have our anual thanksgiving race, and both jeff and myself will be running it again..
jeff generally runs an hd monte.. Im going to be running a charger.. the guys here say they like the charger, but it feels a little tight.. im thinking the front end is going to help that..

We have opted to stick with the steel lower rods.. One reason is durability, and the other is the little extra weight.. it seems every year cars need to be heavier per rules.. I think a more even weighted car is better.. Ive always liked how the older trinity cars turned.. They generally had a little heavier front end then a standard AE style.. That little xtra seemed to smoth out the car..

Jeff was going to race again this weekend, but a buddy of ours was killed in a head on collision on thursday night.. I dont know what it is this year, but he was the third rc racer killed in a car wreck in the last few months..

I will keep ya guys posted as much as i can.. this race comming up next week is a weekend race, so it will be a great testing race.. We will see if any changes need to be made. we had planned to have the stuff to the machinist by the following monday , but we will have to see when our buds fuleral is going to be..

Hey guys i got the car on friday.. Ill be putting it together over the next few days, and ill post some pics..

Theres nothing special about the car.. just a basic design with only the adjustments i felt it needed..

1) Pod length can be adjusted short or 1/4 longer.

2) Center t plate center pod, or center t plate offset pod..

3) Offset T plate offset pod, offset t plate centered pod.

4) 6 Center shock mounting holes.. shock mount has a full 1.3 inches of movement.

5) Front end holes are slotted, and have 1.65 inches of movement front or back..

6) Inline side shock mounting.. ( The parts are cut to be able to run side by sde or inline, but the drawing was goofed up. so now its inline only..

7) 5 Battery slots.. Back slots have 2nd cell lined up with t plate.. speed control tab on back of tray..

8) Toplate has 3 sets of wing mount slots.. They are slots so when you offset the pod, you can just slide the mounts and keep the wing centered.. ( StaNdard requires you to have a different bend in the wire..

9) Uses the older style HD pod plates.. I chose these, because there is lots of room to fit a brushless in them..

Well theres the list. like i said not much, and nothing to special.. I just always wanted my own car, with the few adjustments i normally use.. pics will be up this week some time.. i have a weekend race this week, so it may be a bit later..

Hey all withthe holidays, and work i havent had much time to test the front end.. i gave mine to a local guy, you may know him as corey heft of hefty cells.. he is a multi nat racer who has a good knowledge of front ends.. I hoping to some info from him soon, an how he feels about it.. he pretty much races every week, so we will see how it goes..

Hey guys here is some pics of the Renegade chassis.. solid and slider..

the slider i chose the adx style tray.. Its going to be redesigned to eliminate the 6 cell and have a receiver spot on the front..

I like the adx style because is doesnt stiffen the chassis in the center.. A normal style battery tray adapter stiffens the chassis on one side up the middle.. I like solid chassis because they flex front to back.. with the adx style tray it will have the side to side flex of a slider, yet hold most of the front to back flex as well.. Other then that there really isnt aything special about the cars.. i just wanted my own style, with just enough adjustment.. i did notice after i got them done, the solid looks alot like a pro 2 chassis on the outer edge.. thats ging to be changed to..

i still dont know if i will ever offer it for sale, like i say i just wanted my own.. I know some events require a kit to be available to the public to run in certain classes, so i may have to release a few for that reason.. anyway here is some pics..check my gallery for larger pics..

is that hyperdrive parts in the rear?
other than that nice car. just enough adjustments.

Rusty NutZ

burbs
12-14-2006, 10:31 PM
yeah i chose the hyperdrive aluminum because they fit the brushless motors very nice.. I wanted to use AE plates because they are more current, but when i had my silva car it was a pain in the u no what to get the wires not to bind.. plus i like to run a bigger gear.. with the AE pods you have to run a 88 tooth to make them zing..

Rusty22
12-14-2006, 10:37 PM
yea ive noticed that over the years. hyperdrive always had longer motor plates. i always liked it. any word on how the front end is doing in the testing stage?

Rusty NutZ

burbs
12-14-2006, 10:45 PM
Here is a short list of the adjustments is does have..

1) 3/4 of an inch front end wheel base travel.(front to back) I did not use a side to side adjustment due t the PC front end is capable of moving in and out..
2) 5 center shock mount locations.
3) Centered t plate, center pod, and offset pod.
4) Offset t plate, offset pod, and offset t plate center pod.
5) Inline side shock mounting.
6) 4 side shock length options.
7) pod plates move back for longer pod wheel base.
8) Rear body mounts move side to side 1/2 inch.
9) 3 wing mount locations onthe pod.. the locations are also slotted so you can god from offset pod to centered without having to have different wing wire. this helps keep the wing centered on the body..
10) The toplate is longer to move the center shock ballstud forward.. This changes the pivot point compared to the stadard on other cars.
11) ADX style tray.. It doesnt stiffen the center of the chassis on the left side like a spline.. It helps with front to back flex..
12) Minimal cutouts on the right side.. i did this to hold most of the rigidity.
13) .100 thick woven grafite
Like i said nothing special.. Just enough.. I just wish i could race more LOL.. I have a buddy who is going to be running the solid chassis.. I want to see how someone else like it.. I ran the slider once this year and with a 8 month break and only two days of racing on it, i was very happy with it..

Im still waiting on info from my buddy Jeff.. A few weeks ago a buddy of our was killed.. He owned a small hobbyshop near by.. i know Jeff has been helping the guys brother get the store back inline, and working on his house.. I am also selling a ton of his stuff in the swap section.. so hopefully after the new year things will be rolling..

Yeah, noticed the crosshair motif on the chassis, distinctive as well, maybe the solid/slider could be sniper/sharpshooter versions.

Nah the sniper is the ame of a car made by KGB.. I wanted to use a name ive ever seen..

Hey guys just wanted to let you all know.. we will be selling thrust bearing for your diff.. this is a killer way to keep your diff smooth for longer times.. this eliminates the need for a mint outer hub bearing. You wil notice a more free diff, and they stay free longer.. The thrust washer takes the load off of the biff bearing making them both last longer..

vwal

What kind of a setup is this thrust bearing? Is it one of the plastic ones like what Trinity sells or is a better one with machines races and a metal cage? I would be interested in seeing a picture. Thanks.

Hey guys just wanted to bump the thread back up.. Barry has another order comming his way at msa so keep asking your track to stock them..

On a side note. i got to run the renegade slider for the second time this year.. i was very happy with the car.. i top qualified and won a decent sized club show at a local track i had never been to.. I did not have the fastest car, It was definatley the nuber 2 car.. But the second place qualifier had more problems in traffic then i did.. the car is constantly changing.. Im tryig many things on it to see how i like the changes.. I have added front plates to help keep the front end from oving in a wreck, and i have added a Pro 3 crossbrace.. New years day race will be the first day i try the new crossbrace.. im going to keep trying things until i am happy with the car...

Pat simkins has my solid chassis.. he ran it a bit at the club race, and said it was progressing niceley.. He didnt race it because he wants to get it up to where his ksg he has been running all year is.. I am happy to have his opinions on the car.. The feedback helps alot.. anyhoo thats about it for updates, Jeff is still working on the front end stuff, and i have not heard anything new...
