What's the best screw thread for mounting T-Jet bodies? I saw one sight that mentioned 1-72 and 2-56 thread.

Been a while since I bought any, but pretty sure they were #2 flathead wood screws. Got them at a hobby shop that sold RC airplanes. Might have been Sig brand.

Have to sand/grind/file a bit off the length, but it's not too bad.

2-56 1/4 inch long philips style flat head screws work fine for me
