Has anyone used a reciever pack with their GTB?
The manual says I can use my rx pack switch and leave the Novak switch of all together, is this correct?
Do you leave the red wire in on the esc harness?
Thanks

I just pluged my reciever pack into the reciever and use its switch. I also un pluged the switch on the gtb so it could not be turned on by accident.

wildman, Just got my 4300 and GTB but I know NOTHING ok LOL. You said you removed your on/off switch. It doesn't hurt that the "one touch" button is built into the on/off swith and I can still just unplug it? I realize that I will have to program it first.

Not on topic for this thread but I understand that the blue harness wire controls the fan operation. If that is being run unpluged, do you guys remove the fan altogether?

Most guys were unplugging the fan and taking it off. It probably helps the onroad and offroad guys more than it does us.

The blue wire in the harness is a thermistor mounted in the motor itself. Its the temperature sending half of the unit. Youll find that 90% of racers cut the blue wire in the harness, to avoid any thermal shutdowns during a race. With what most racers gear at these days, its common to exceed Novaks "ideal" temperature (also what the thermistor is set at.)
Hays is correct, most also unplug the fan and remove it altogether.

The sintered rotor runs 30 to 40 degrees cooler and has eliminated the thermal shut down issue for oval. The best 4300 cars will now come off the track with motor temps in the 130 to 140 range. Thermal cut off on a GTB is up around 180 so you can do what you like with the blue wire.
