Good question not too many people run them I know ARCOR has a class with them, but not many other tracks that I have been too lately.... Would like to see them out there they are fun......... SHAKY DAVE 11-01-2006, 08:16 PM Murdock has truck bodies also.Iallways liked the Bolink/Murdock Chevy.Worked good allmost anywhere. Ultraspeed 11-01-2006, 08:35 PM yeah i was talkin about the mcallister.. Fl Flash 11-01-2006, 09:26 PM http://www.mcallisterracing.com/racing/page2.html I,ve ran McAllisters Ford,Chevy and Toyota bodies on both caps and foams. The Ford was my hands down favorite even though I,m a Chevy guy. :) swtour 11-01-2006, 09:26 PM McAllister's bodies all look really good, I think the Toyota is one that a few guys running in our series are using. I my son and I (when we run truck) use the old DAHM'S Spitfire (Not ARCOR Legal) This body is shapy like the FORD F150's, with LOTS of Downforce and a low narrow roof. It kicks BUTT on short tracks. We run the trucks on the VELODROMES too. Usually we use the old PSE Dodge or Ford F150's. Several guys have been running the McAllister body there too, and they seem to work good also. While IRA DAHM of DAHM's Racing Bodies has retired, he sold his molds to a company called "VANS INVENT" I believe they still carry most of his old bodies and some new ones. They are more narrow than most bodies and less drag.. They also use them for carpet for the Touring car chassis.. The Silverado seems to be the favorite..My favorite body is the Hot bodies F-150 but bummer..no longer available.. I also have the PSE 95 and 97 F-150 and the Dodge Ram bodies for oval carpet..works for me.. don't really think any truck body can go wrong.. just set your car to the one you have and Presto!!! your on it!!!! IndyRC_Racer 11-02-2006, 11:33 AM Truck Body Manufacturers (not intended to be a complete list) HPI (http://www.hpiracing.com (http://www.hpiracing.com/)) - 200mm Nastruck & Offroad Truck McAllister (http://www.mcallisterracing.com/) - Nastruck(pancar), Offroad, Outlaw Truck ParmaPSE (http://www.parmapse.com/) - Offroad & Monster Truck (They do have a 190mm '78 El Camino body) Pro-line/Protoform (http://http://www.pro-lineracing.com/) - 190mm/200mm Silverado & Offroad Truck Vans Invent- (http://www.vansinvent.com/rebuild/vansinventrb/html/dah2.html) - Nastruck & Offroad Truck In my mind, truck oval falls into 2 main catagories - "Nastruck" and Off-Road Truck oval. I don't run my off-road on oval, so I'll focus on Nastruck. When I've run pan-car Nastruck at a Velodrome, I've used the HPI 200mm Silverado with the rear cut-out. Was very happy with performance. Out qualified the fast Nastruck guy in Indy at the last race with it. With touring car Nastruck oval, I have been using an HPI 200mm Dodge Ram body with good success. I'm 2 for 2 against other racers this season who are running the 190mm Silverado. I prefer the 200mm bodies because I didn't have to be as accurate mounting them on the chassis. I felt the Proline/Protoform 190mm was too narrow for a Velodrome, unless you use good body mounts. The rear tires had too much of a chance to rub. Same thing in touring car. Last thing I wanted was the wheels rubbing the body. The only thing you have to watch on the Truck bodies is the front hood. At least the Silverado body has a flat hood. The Dodge Ram and other bodies have lowered front fenders. If you plan on slamming the body, keep this in mind as you will have to watch for tire rub on the hood under suspension compression. (MobileHobbies@charter.net) he has a full line wait a minute 11-02-2006, 06:22 PM if its an offroad truck for oval my pic is the factory works supermod body or the A&L road kill body. squeeker138 11-02-2006, 06:42 PM I heard that Factory owns the road kill again. Factory works and a&l used to be 1 company. MURDOCKRC 11-02-2006, 11:01 PM Windtunnel also has 2 1/10th and 1 1/12th truck.
