Unofficial count 65 cars so far.

Already 20+ in 13.5, 35+ in 4300 awesome.

For all those debating about the long drive. Just ask anyone who has run there in the past. Vinton is well worth it.

Vinton is definitely worth it...especially if Phil B. is rockin' the rollerskates and jammin' the ABBA. Someone let him know we've evolved past 8 tracks....slowly explain cassettes...then show him that magical little shiny disc that current discos are kickin' nowdays. Just playin' with ya Mr. B.

Sonny,

Will there be 13.5 motors to rent at Vinton? I know you mentioned there would be systems for rent awhile back. I just need the motor though.

Can't get my act together in 4300 lately so 13.5 it is.

Does anyone have a spare GTB that I could borrow for the race this weekend?
Mine was sent back in warranty service, and has magically disappeared from Novak's system, and is MIA.
I would greatly appreciate it, and will pay a reasonable fee for the use.

Hey Sonny, on the Charger body, if the spoiler is cut at the line is it to tall.
It seems like it is about 1" off the deck.
Thanks

Yes it will be to tall. 3/4" form the deck lid is legal. (in other words on the Charger 1/2" above the molded spoiler lip)

Unfortunately, myself and Roger Hasler, will not be able to make the trip. I was informed that one of my largest customers will be doing a rare friday shutdown and they already have a long list of work for me to do. So I am out and as for Roger, his wife won't let him leave the state alone :p

A little too quiet in here tonight, everybody must be getting ready for the big show.

So who’s it going to be this weekend any prediction?

Also who’s going to join Jason Crist, Dave Whitesel, Keith Racknor and Josh Cyrul at the $1200 Novak All Star Challenge?

Predictions....

13.5
Phil or maybe Hays Sr.
I'm going to try to have something for thsoe guys as well since I'm doing the 13.5 thing for the BRL. At least until I have a second car or a first car that is fast again!

4300
Hays Jr. TQ's but then wires his motor in backwards for the main. Oh wait no chance of that anymore!!! Hays Jr.

Mod
Paul Schwanbeck is supposed to be back and is always a rocket at Vinton so I'm going to go out on a limb and go with him.

Congrats to all the winners, Great job Tony Mitchell. Winning the 13.5 class.
That was some of the best and closest mains that I can remember.
Thanks to Sonny and the Vinton crew for putting on another great show.
We were also able to see the fireball on the track. Hope Tony gets this picture up soon. A two foot flame coming from a car is never a good site.

Thanks again

This weekend was actually the first time I ever race 4300 at Vinton.

I really would like to thank everyone that traveled in to race at our track. To pull that many racers for an event is just awesome. Let alone being all brushless. It will be the largest all brushless event ever until the Novak National Finals anyway... Thanks to AJ, Randy, Dave, Mark Steiner for helping out. There are probably quite a few others that I can't remember but for anyone that even did one thing to help us out, thank you.

I think things went pretty well. We had a couple computer hicups that slowed us down on Saturday. But it was good all around considering the amount of cars.

Basically, every race there is going to be a home track advantage. For us, it was more about having good cars and doing the right things. My cars sucked so bad in Detroit. They were just out of whack. I'd love to go back again and run that race with the cars we have now...but that being said with the limited amount of track time at these events being used to the track and it tendencies is a factor.

All in all, I think the series is being well recieved and it is amazing what you can do with these brushless motors. And as I predicted at the beginning I'd be suprised to see any repeat winner in any of the classes during the entire series.

I've rambled for long enough...

Thanks Sonny and the entire Vinton crew. It was an awesome event. I thought the March Vinton race was hard to outdo, now you have set the bar even higher! Sonny is an asset to teh oval community, and thank god he put such an awesome series together!
My thanks goes out to Butch T, Pat S, Jason H, Sully, Hays and Hays. Thanks to everyone else for providing an awesome race and some good times. Wish my car was better, but youll have that sometimes! Congrats to the winners, and thanks for some awesome racing in all the mains!
Hope to see everyone in GB in three weeks. Dont forget, for some more brushless warmup, visit the Triclone in West Bend this Friday and Saturday for the Jim Wick Thansgiving Oval Challenge.

I want to thank everyone that came and raced with us this weekend. I really think this brushless thing might catch on. LOL
Big thanks to Sonny, Dave K. and everyone that helped in any way to make this a really competitive, but a very fun race. I met and raced with a lot of people that I had only met by way of the internet, it was nice to meet them in person.
Congratulations to all the winners, TQ's and everyone that was able to race this weekend.
I know that in the 2 mains that I was in the top 4 cars were all on the same straight, now thats close.
Looking forward to the balance of the BRL Series.

Again thanks to everyone.

Yeah I had a great time. Thanks to Sonny, Hay's and Hay's JR for sponsoring the race and the IROAR group for providing a great place to race. It was great to be part of the biggest brushless Oval race ever to date. Had fun racing with everyone. The main I was in was a blast I didn't win but I sure tried. It was great racing with Hay's JR for more then 2 min nose to tail fighting for the lead until I spun trying to stay out of Hay's. Can't wait till the next race I can make.

Thanks to all the IROAR guys, Sonny, and all those that make the BRL possible. The whole concept is killer, and this weekend was one of the most fun I've ever had racing. Qualifiers were nice and clean, and although sponsors help make things happen, they wouldn't show up if it weren't for the great people racing on the track.
A special thanks to AJ and Hays Sr for the battle in the 13.5 B Main, it was a shame one of us had to draw the short straw, but 3 cars within three tenths for the final transfer spot was simply amazing.

One thing I have been very remiss about is thanking the sponsors, tons of raffle prizes and very good prizes and the racers must have thought so as well because Sonny sold tons of tickets and that is great because the proceeds go to the Victory Junction Camp.

Special thanks to Lefthander RC for sponsoring the race and BSR for sponsoring the series and all the fine companies that donated items for the raffle and of course NOVAK for their support of the series and for the products that have make this series possible. The 4300 motors are killer and run for every and it seems that the 13.5's are going to be just as good.

Thanks again to everyone.

Had a great time again. Racing was awesome. B-main in 13.5 was great, too bad I had to watch. Great job Hays and nice shirt. Hada a good time racing with some guys for the first time.

Big thanks to the IROAR group that always put on a first class event. Special thanks to Dave for spending all his time runing the event and the guys that setup and take down the track. Thanks to AJ, Charlie, and Curt for letting us bug you for lap times on your laptops. We should have one by the next race.

Of course it wouldn't all be happening without the great planning of Mr. Sonny Brown. I'm starting to think this brushless thing might catch on some day.:)

Thanks to all the prizes from the manufactures.

Big thankyou to Lefthander RC for sponsoring the race.
