I'm pretty entry level, no actually I'm worthless in terms of being able to post pictures so I am calling out an APB on anybody and everybody to do an all out blitz on open car haulers. The ONLY rule is, no NASCAR/closed in refers are needed as those are already done to death in die-cast.

I'm talking anything open, anything single to multi-car, vintage to modern. With that I hope some interesting pictures are presented that we can kick around our opinions on in hopes that eyes and ears are listening and perhaps, just perhaps something can be done. Id there is an opposite to "jumping the shark" this is it. I think this is the thing that seperates one from another.

Robdog, I know you are good at this and have the eye. Help a brother out here and put some time in. Maybe we can help something pop in the future.

I'll check it out, only if you promise, never to use the phrase,"pop" again!

Fair enough....do good! Look for the weekend race haulers like the other post too, show haulers, dirt track, new car halers, dual tandem....get to work! Beats looking at a timer clock anyway.

Not that I'm a big fan of plastic but I was told by the man involved with Brooklin's just how difficult it was to cast an open multi-car hauler steel girders in metal without loads of casting issues so with that, I'd gladly accept plastic in this area if that's what it takes. Let the weight of the cars it's hauling make up the difference.

That "Convoy conpany" hauler is what I'm talking about. The Streamliner vintage to me is the best. Love the lines. No reason why a truck can't be functional AND cool looking. Somebody on the JL thread showed a very nice show car on the back of a custom hauler that I thought looked BETTER than the car it was hauling.

Anybody remember that one?

Awesome stuff guys.

So ahhhhh, Nash deleivered cars without wheels in place? Interesting. Love that hauler too. Interesting concept to say the least.

stretch beds would be a cool thing, especially if you could simply switch beds/chassis...

....and just try to deny, that you wouldn't want a box full of these for your every custom whim....

since closed racing haulers are so popular, I'd pee myself if I could have this little guy with transparent smoked plexi-glass.

That would be easier than massive diecast framework construction

or they can join the COE bandwagon for a bike hauler

Here's a great one . Bud Moore's Rig from the 1967 Trans-Am series. And yes that is a Cougar on the back. They lost the championship by a couple of points to Mustang. Ford never let Mercury run in the Trans-Am again.
