View Full Version : Carpet Oval Nationals
JeffPatch29 10-30-2006, 03:23 PM Any word on where or when the Carpet Oval Nationals are going to be this year. Even a list of tracks that have put in Bids would be nice. I'd like to start planning now so I can make it this year, but haven't heard anything about it. Any info would be great, thanks!
Dawn Sanchez 10-30-2006, 05:16 PM as with every year, the nationals process is with selection by the Excom based on committee recommendations. The Excom meets this coming weekend (11/4-5) and will be able to post the venues selected after each host track has been contacted to verify dates and responsibilities. This usually takes two weeks or so.
I would say plan on reading the announcement by the end of November.
:)

Who is on the Excom now for oval?
Dawn Sanchez 10-30-2006, 11:18 PM Kenny until the end of the year as he has regrettably needed to submit his resignation for personal and professional reasons.
The excom will be appointing a new Track Director by the end of the year although I do not know who's in line. If you are interested, please, contact Mike Queller at MTQROAR@aol.com

burbs 11-29-2006, 08:09 PM i love the race dates.. I get my vacation the week before the race.. i may have toput this one on the calender..
what brushless classes will be at the event?? 13.5 is growing a ton right now, and 4300 is aready big.. just curious. thanks
Mike OBrien 11-30-2006, 03:38 AM week after the arcor race ?????
brian0525 11-30-2006, 09:33 AM week after the arcor race ?????
They try their best to seperate the big events but if you knew all the events that were on the calender for march you would quickly see if you waited for a clear 3 weeks or something close you would never have a race. Some can make both and some won't be able to. I will be at the Nats it is closer for me and if it goes anything like the Ovalmasters it will be a great time!
JH Racing 12-16-2006, 12:04 PM Where can I get an entry blank from for this race?

13.5 will basicly be stock out of the box. car must have back in it. spolier no wing. I will have a more detailed rules up on 13.5 and spec this weekend.
Make your plans now.
Allan A 01-27-2007, 07:22 AM I would like to thank KSG and Murdock Racing for their support of this ROAR National race. With out strong supporters like these this race would not be possible. Welcome aboard, this should be one heck of a race. Don't forget to let all the sponsors know how much you appreciate them.
hazeracing 01-27-2007, 10:26 AM this should be a great race with great sponsors and a great track support team.

I believe roar rule states, that the sintered rotor can be used..
Allan A 01-28-2007, 07:08 PM I believe roar rule states, that the sintered rotor can be used..
burbs
below find a quote from Dawn posted on the Paved ROAR Nats thread. I will get this clarified and get back to you. Right now most 13.5's are being run without sintered rotor, at least that is my understanding.
Thanks
Allan A
.
LOL... apologies but my brushlss knowledge is more limited than I care to admit...
right now, stock brushless is not in the rule book and intentions to do so with rule generation will be for 2008. To request a deviation for this motor will end up in a denial ... for now... but we are working on that as stated above.
(btw, no way a stock brushless is equivalent to a stock brushed.... no way to do so I understand from the top BL MFG's. Its being worked on)
