I'll start out this new forum by posting some info on the soon to be released Tekin R1 Brushless/Brushed ESC.

Watch out Orange! Tekin enters the 10th Scale Brushless Market with the all new R1 and R1 Pro!!!! Using Sensorless technology allows the R1 series to run both Sensored and Sensorless motors. Even more, the R1 series works with both Brushless and Brushed motors! If you are still trying to make the transition to Brushless, this is the ESC for you--you can run your familiar brushed motors until you are convinced that Brushless is the way to go! Other features include Tekin's proven on-board programming, adjustable brake, adjustable throttle, motor timing, voltage cutoff and even an exclusive built-in temperature monitoring system!
Super small footprints, R1; 1.3" x 1" x .75", R1 Pro; 1.3" x 1" x 1"

Retail pricing:
R1 - $290

Will it be able to run with 4 cells? There is a competing company that is selling a speed controller but it only runs on 6-12 cells. So what I guess what I really want to know what voltage will it run on + & - .

It has been reported that the Competing Company's (CC) product will work with 4 cells is you use a receiver pack.

I have heard that also but by not having it published by the company they are'nt allowed in the BRL series. Some pan guys might have bought them if they were for 4 cells.

Tekin says it should run with 4-cells. It is being tested next weekend in actual racing just to make sure there are no unintended effects that may not show up in testing.

It looks like the 6 pin connector doesn't hook op to this esc?

A little pricey. I thought the LRP comp was expensive.

Don't know what the Retail price is of the LRP but I suspect the Tekin street price will be only slightly higher then the LRP. The pro version adds about 24 FETs that allows it to have no motor limit (the LRP has a motor limit). The R1 is a sensorless ESC but will run both sensorless and sensored motors (plus brushed motors). It also has adjustable timing and a PC interface which Novak or LRP doesn't have.
