A 1/43 scale 1968 Jaguar 'E' Type MK. 1 1/2 made by DINKY. The Copyright on the box is 1988, so I probably bought it in 1989 or 1990.
I thought I would mix it up a little in my posting with an inexpensive 1/43 scale car. I probably paid less than $10 for this car when I bought it. I doubt if it's worth $10 now.

That olive green with the black top looks sweet! I'm learning alot by your posts, and again have never heard of DINKY before. It looks like they make some nice and accurately detailed pieces.
Nice pic!

I'm no expert in diecast collecting StreetFreak. I can only tell what I know about the car that I am posting a pic of.
We can all learn from each other by a brief description of the car that you are posting a pic of. No one knows everything, and it's nice sharing pics and information. I kind of makes it a fun place to be!
Have a GREAT WEEK everyone!............STUTZ

Streatfreak...Point of information. ANY green that is on a British car is "British Racing Green." I used to think that it had to be a dark green, but that's not the case. Green was the British international racing color. Oddly yellow was the Italian color. There was a post on this somewhere if I can find it I'll reference it. I know silver = German. Blue = French. White = USA Red= Japan?

They don't do it by "requirement" any more. "Requierment" :p Can't recall EVER seeing a Yellow Ferrari race anywhere. Alfa nor FIAT for that matter. I'm sure I be corrected about this statement soon

Belgian cars raced in yellow as their national color, including many Ferrarris.

Wikipedia has a listing of the international colors. I didn't see yellow as being an Italian color. I can't find where I saw that as of yet. It was something obscure. Further investigation revealed that the color was determined by the nationality of the team that entered the vehicle. Hence a yellow Ferrari entered in the '61 Belgian GP by Olivier Gendebien who was from Belgium. Its really about as confusing a UN debate over quantum physics. :freak: So if your really wanting to paint something in international colors go online for the list. But if its British to be accurate you'll need a color photo cause BRG could be anything from mallard green to avacado.
