A 1/43 scale 1934 Ford Mobiloil Tank truck made by Eligor from France.

You can see the small catalog inside the box that is dated 1982. That's the year that I bought this most likely. I have several other Eligor 1934 Ford trucks that are variations in style.

I didn't want to start another thread because this is a similar truck made by the same company.

It's a 1/43 scale 1934 Ford TEXACO Motor Oil truck made by Eligor from France. It was made in 1982 also, as you can see from the catalog inside the box.

VERY NICE Stutz!

I've always liked early model trucks, and Eligor did a nice job on these!

Have you ever seen these Eligor trucks StreetFreak? Most of the boxes still have the price stickers still on them ($12.00). I remember buying a '32 Ford roadster a year later (1983) for $15 or $16. I haven't found that one in a storage box yet. I believe the Eligor 1/43 trucks didn't sell well, except for the Lionel train collectors that bought them for their train display.

I still wonder why I bought these.

No STUTZ I haven't, probably because I started collecting 1:43 scale 5 or 6 years ago, mainly roadsters and muscle cars. Back then, around here anyways, there wasn't much european stuff available. I'm sure alot of the stuff I bought too, isn't worth what I paid for it now, but to me it's always been the fun of hunting them down and the enjoyment I've gotten collecting them.

Hey...we need to see more!

Those are wonderful trucks. I especially like the period-correct corporate logos...they look great. The color combinations are quite nice, too.

The Eligor box design looks really familiar to me; I bet I have a few packed away somewhere. Thanks for posting yours; it's surprising they weren't more popular. They seem to have everything that I look for in 1/43 models.

Most of the stuff (I always liked that word!....stuff = junk, according to my wife....stuff sounds much better than junk :p) that I bought isn't worth what I paid for it either. But I didn't buy them for an investment. I bought them because I liked them (at least I liked them when I bought them).

Check my thead that has the 1934 Ford Mobiloil Tanker truck from time to time for more pics of Eligor 1/43 scale models. I don't want to start a new thread for each Eligor model that I have. I don't consider these very collectible models. They go nicely with Lionel Trains and old garage dioramas.

I'll try to post a new Eligor pic in that thread once a week.

Have a GREAT WEEK everone!..........STUTZ

The company logos are what I liked the most about these models.

A 1934 Ford tow truck made by Eligor of France. You can see 24 years of aging on the box and the display case.

Another 1934 Ford truck made by Eligor from France.

I can picture a 1:1 scale truck like this parked next to an old barn.

Thanks Brad. I think this is the only tow truck that I have in 1/43 scale.

Another Eligor variation. It's a 1934 Ford panel truck. There were quite a few of these 1934 Ford panel trucks made with different company logos on them. I'm fond of Bi-planes, so I had to buy this model. You can see the price tag of $12.00 on the box. This model was also bought over 20 years ago.

A recent Bi-plane ride in September 2006 commerating the 75th Anniversary of the Allegheny County Airport several miles from where I live. If you look at the thread that I started "Up, up and away" you can see several more pics.

Another Eligor 1934 Ford truck. As you can see it's a Carlsburg Beer truck.

I thought the kegs of beer were cool in the bed of the truck.

Thanks YellowBronc.

I'd also like to thank everyone who replied to this thread, and everyone who viewed this thread. The Eligor models posted here are nothing special. I thought it would be nice to post some 1/43 scale models that were not well known by most collectors. Most of these models were bought in 1982, with the exception of a few models.

I'm approaching the end of this thread with perhaps 1 or 2 posts after this post. I hope this thread brought some enjoyment to the HT members who stopped by to take a look at the pics. Below is one of the last posts that I will make.

An Eligor 1934 Ford pickup truck.
