GL has the heavy plastic mil cover over their blisters and for those who do not open their blister cards this must be a nice savings in that protectors are not needed to be purchased. For those who do open them what do you do? Slice one end and part of the bottom to keep it intact as much as possible for re-use, or trash it just like the old paper style?:)

Since it is a proven given that packaging and marketing will always play a part in selling die-cast cars which message would you like GL to know that you prefer?

1. The cost savings and protection of the new heavy plastic generic covered blisters.
2. I prefer "Old School" art on my blister cards (Tom Daniel, Ed Roth examples like the Wacky Winners, Frightnin' Lightning etc.) on simple cardboard.
3. A box like the old Matchbox style is fine with me complete with artist drawing.
4. clear plastic box, no art, great for storage, can see car, make them stackable.
5. You could place it in a baggie as far as I'm concerned, enough with this package stuff, give me cars.
6. Give me both! I'll pay for cool blister art AND give it to me in the new sealed heavy mil plastic.
7. If Adkins can sell protectors that open and close, why can't the manufacturers do the same?

Thoughts and views? No right answer here pick one or more or feel free to add others to kick around.

I'd go with number 5, I don't keep anything in the package unless it's signed by someone important.

When I open my GL's I get my big pair of scissors and cut straight across the blister pack right above the car. I would pick #4 as my favorite choice

The heavy plastic packaging is a waste as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure it adds to the final price too. Just give me a blisterpack and let me rip it open. I hate having to slice through layers of plastic trash (because that's where the packaging is going- the trash  ) to get to my car.

I like the packaging. It helps to ensure the blister is not damaged and avoids my having to purchase protectors.

#5 for me, it's all about the car. The card may be attractive, but it's going in the trash once I read what's printed on it.
