OK, so for those who like numbered cars. What is your lowest? I have always liked very low or very high numbers on a liminted run ( like my Burch Rollback at 251 out of 252!) So while I was cataloging my GL's this past weekend, I noticed I had a few nice low numbers. So I thought I would ask what was the lowest you had as well. ( Not counting Green Machines)

my #09 green machine 67 impala, green top, silver/gray bottom,. unopened and mint. used a flashlight to reflect the number off the base.

Cool, I did not even know that Green Machines were numbered! I knew they were limited to 2% of a run ( so around 50 cars on a 2500 piece release, right?) so this is good information to learn.

I only have one, A gift from our own Stupid Squirrels, and I have not opened it so I did not not relize they were numbered. To bad I cannot see the number on mine. The mirror and flashlight idea worked great, but my number must be one the other side, cause' I see nothing but the GL logo.

Ditto, got a 69 Custom Mach 1 Green Machine, but the # must be on the other side, not going to open it cuz ima trade it sooner or later, preferablyt for a soon-to-be 442 Green Machine :)

But then again, how many cars are even under the 10 mark in the whole line? 2 releases, 12 each, so 240 cars in the world at car #10 or less in the whole MGC series!!!! #2...That's amazing.

Only if my 2 regular Impalas had there numbers switched . I would have matching numbers for a regular and GM.

Again, that is amazing...think about it, in the whole world, there are only 240 cars with the #2 on them. And you have two of them! What a haul! We have three of the #2's right here on the boards!

While out shopping for grills on clearance, I found the #0011 silver '67 Corvette for the BJ series and the #0021 of the red '63 Chrysler 300J from MCG4. Both were at the same store. Pretty cool.

I have the Red Stock Cuda from MCG Rel 3 with #0001 on the base.
I got it at a show and had to get the GM to match it afterward.

I doubt I will find any other #0001's but its fun to try.

Lummox, thanks for bumping this to the top, it was fun reading a full year after it started . Since I first began this thread, I also have a #1, plus 12 more cars under 100 in all the standard releases ( not counting greens).

I buy every car I find under 100. It gives me a reason to look at the retail stores since I have all the cars already. If I find one under 100, I buy it and swap it out with the previous, higher numbered version. Like I said, I now have a #1 plus 12 more under #100.

I enjoy the numbers. Makes a little more to look for. I like the first and last numbers in a run, as well as the year (I have one of those) of the car or the engine size, like 426.

I know you said no green machines but I cant see the number but I know it low due to the fact it #50620 Custom promo only 528 units and Dr Deal says it 1 of 10 or #50620 is 1 of 5 and #50621 is 1 of 5 I'd say thats probably a low number even if it #5 of the green machine series
