Hi Guys I posted on one of the other threads and it got into the ORL thread so I'm starting a thread that we're going to run some oval this winter.

Like I said in the other posts we planned a few oval races over the winter for everyone. I can;t do every weekend and not to cross over the ORL I think we came up with a good schedule. The Dates are on our schedule but are as Follows.

Saturday November 25th We'll open early for extended practice. Doors will open at 9am and we'll extend practice with a 2pm start time. So warmups will be 5hrs not 3.

Saturday December 30th New Years Bash. Same Time Schedule as the 25th.

Saturday January 27th. This is a double header race weekends for the track I'll post time schedule for this shortly.

Guess I should have elaborated on the classes. We're goign to follow the ORL 2006 classes from their site. From what I see there that's the 1/10 Stock Truck and Cup car classes. 19Turn 1/12th scale class.

Also some micro guys talked about trying the oval so we may have a micro exhibition class for fun.

I guess I have to request a few Sat.off:tongue:

Hi All I've been thinking about how we could do this so we add a little heat to the Oval RAces this winter. The Series idea is cool but with the odd schedule might not work for enough people to make all teh raaces. So the First Race will be the Warm up Race. That's the November 25th date. Then The December 30th date we're going to do a Oval BBQ Race Holiday Party. Similar to the way we do our ECC Micro Race. WE'll have Trophies, Open Buffet for Racers (Yes Free Deli Food) and lots of fast racing. Maybe even go 4 qualifiers. Then wind down the last race as warmups for snowbirds.

What do you think?

i like that idea of how you will setup the races for this winter, that sounds fun and ineresting! cant wait to race there, oh yea and bring on the 4200's!

Al the battery question I never thought of. I do have a problem though for myself. All I have are 42's. So if I go 38's only I cut myself out. But I'm not objective to do that if it's a hard fast rule everyone's following, I was just unaware of it. And I guess I have a question though is it something that is coming for the 2007 season and maybe we should just say 42's are ok and let everyone get ready for next year.

Here's a trick lets allow 42's and make the race 6 minutes. LOL :tongue: :dude:

Yeah I'm making a big change for this weekend all pan cars have to be converted to front wheel drive... LOL hehehehehhehehehehe

Water ................NO Seeing what we can do with the batteries and motors we have today YES. I have run 6 minutes on a 3800 and with the 42's we can get or already have can make 6 minutes easy. I think 6 minutes races are coming and soon at least at small tracks like G.B -Trax 70 and maybe Kranzels and Pottbellies.

A great day of racing at the Belly today! Drew did a great job and Congrats to Jonathan for winning the A main. He is the man!

Had a great time hanging with friends. Very laid back and fun. Look forward to the next race on 12-30. Hope to see more people come out for the next race.
