Heres a pair I did this week. I've been working on my 1/43 track since I was able to grab several sets at garage sales and the Bay this past summer. Finally got it up and going. I used several sets of the QuickClick Artin stuff and layed it out on a 4X8.Only 2 lane, I'm cramped for room. I ran 2 radio Shack adapter to the empty power boxes, one for each lane and placed to power taps about half way down the track. Works great and me and the girls have had a blast, plus I can notch down the power to accommodate the little ones. My HO is on a 2.5 " X 5". Its 2 lane also. I do have aseveral of the old AFX stuff in the closet but theyre 4 lane and wouldnt fit on the small table.
The Jack is hotwheels version of a Monte Carlo which I dont like as much as the Dale Jr one which had Artin on thebottom. I might have to make a mold of the other artin so I can make a whole mess of them with different drivers. I know 1/43 is a odd size but I just dont have the room for a 1/32 track, and the artin stuff is priced so darn cheap. Also this is my first attempt on doing decals this size on my alps. I had a few problems with the white on DaleJr. Any tips from you guys on the settings for the best results? I'm using the Alps 1000. Enjoy the pics. JR

Nice job on the cars!
And the track looks good also...
Is it attached to the table?
And have you ever thought about painting the track dark grey...?

Thanks Rauncy,I got it bookmarked. I'll be there.

On the track painting thing. I'm going to do it grey a few pieces at a time and I havent decided if I'll secure the track down. I may have to move in the future so I want to be able to get it apart.Just havent gotten the stuff together to get it done. I just wanted to get the table and track together and get it running right plus I found some more track, so I'll probably do some tweaking on the layout. As you can see,I'm lacking in the building-scenery category and want to hook up my old IBM 133 mhz laptop with a gantry for a lapcounter. I think that'd be sweet. Anybody know where I might find the plug already made for the game or serial port for the lapcounter? Thanks,JR

Don't know if you been here but you can get the timing software free and it shows how to build the cable. Raunchy
