For you Diecast collectors.......I posted this over to the Diecast section but this is such great news that I just had to post it here. Technically, since Batman was also a movie, I can mention it here. Now I know that most of you will say that a bat in the hand is worth more than 50 in the bush but I followed this guy's website for a while and he's pretty reliable before announcing things.
check out this link and scroll down just a bit.

I have hope..... Hot Wheels has been putting out a lot of batman batmobiles recently of many different sources such as the DC comics, Warner Bros., movie, etc. Since Warner Bros. ok'd those, I think it's only a matter of time before any other parties that have to agree to it will realize it's money in their pockets and that's better than no money at all.

I was told that they were planning a 1/18 scale, and perhaps a 1/12th.

I believe that the Corgi Batmobile was 1/36 scale. I have the Green Hornet Black Beauty, and it is 1/36 scale.

I have an original MIB Corgi '66 and although the scale is not listed anywhere on the box, it is roughly the same scale as my Corgi 1940s DC Comics Batmobile that was released a while back. That one says it is 1/43 scale on the box.

About 1.5 years ago, they announced that they would release the Batmobile (as did Ertl) but the ad was pulled for licensing reasons (as we know now). They, instead, released the movie version of the batmobile in 1:18 and 1:64 scale (the Michael Keaton version).
Hot Wheels has relaeased many cars in 1:18 Scale which is what I'm hoping for. I'll buy 5 of 'em.
