Thanks ahead of time J Andy Koback 10-17-2006, 07:29 PM On a slider, the battery tray is moveable front to rear. On a solid, it's not. TEAM_lost. 10-17-2006, 08:08 PM ooooo i get it now i thought a slider drifted through the corners, .an i feel dumb :D OvalTrucker 10-17-2006, 09:02 PM Also, you get a little more chassis flex with a slider. Which can be good or bad depending on driving style and [from what I understand,] experience. I guess a little chassis flex is good for a newer driver. At least, that's what I've heard. erock1331 10-17-2006, 11:29 PM Also, you get a little more chassis flex with a slider. Not true in all cases. The Customworks Solid chassis is around .095" thick. The Customworks Slider chassis is around .105" thick. The solid car has significantly more flex compared to the Slider I do agree that a Flexy chassis is a little more forgiving to setup than more rigid chassis. I always found a stiff chassis takes a bit more tinkering with to find a fast setup but once you nailed it, it was faster than a flexy flier. burbs 10-18-2006, 04:55 AM Not true in all cases. Yep the battery tray adapter stiffens up a slider chassis in the center quite a bit.. ive noticed a slider has more side to side flex in the front area, while a solid chassis has more front to back flex... JamminRacing7 10-18-2006, 06:26 AM Thanks guys, You've helped a bunch. burbs 10-18-2006, 06:54 AM here is a picture of a ksg slider built, with a solid chassis next to it..
