Hey fellas, im new and looking into getting into pan car racing. I was searching, and came across a car that says its a hyperdrive 500 SSE. Well, there is no 500 SSE on the hyperdrive site, and was wondering if theya ctually made such a thing ever? If so what would you say it is worth? Also, is it a middle of the pack car? it would be ran in the new brushless 13.5 class. Also, are there still parts available for this car, or perhaps a conversion kit? let me know, thanks guys!

The car is older..It depends which veriosn the car is.. There is the wide battery slot version and the narrrow.. if it is the wide slots it wll work well.. .. I ran the car for a bit in 05 on asphalt.. its a killer cap tire car.. I know Barry still has parts for the cars, you just have to email him.. the narrow slot version i wouldnt pay more then 50 bucks in very clean complatete shape.. the wide slot version in good clean shape ive seen them going for about 70-80 bucks..80 on the higher end if they have 3 shocks.. 70 for dampner tube pods..

sweet guys, thanks for the info. I have my bid in on one right now. Looks like a very nice car. It is the 3 shock version, with the wide battery slots. Where is the hot place to buy bodies?

Box-Kar in Cedar Rapids, has pretty much all the oval bodies on hand. I would recommend a Protoform Charger.

WINDTUNNEL Body Works-- I would recommend the "HDX"

I think I will go with the protoform monte carlo. Anyhow, how about setup for this car? I e-mailed berry at hyperdrive, and he said that its teh same car as the 510 BY except for the main chassis plate. Anyhow, its teh wide battery slot version, with the 3 shocks. How about some help for setup on teh vinton oval. It is a 175 foot flat oval carpet track. Will be running the 13.5 BR class.
