It seems that when I look at the upcoming titlesf being announced that some studios are beginning to scrape the bottom of the barrel in some of their selections.

I am still waiting on some rather big budgeted releases that had some big name stars of their time.

Anyone heard or read ANYTHING on the following titles?????

1) PT 109 - with cliff robertson
2) Fate is the Hunter - Rod Taylor, Glen Ford
3) The Red Ball Express - an older WWII movie but a good one
4) Kings of the Sun - Myans escape to the US and join forces with Native americans. Had Yul Brenner as the indian chief.
5) Colossus - The Forbin Project released in WIDEscreen please.

Hell, I'm still waiting for major (to me) TV shows like Hawaii 5-0, China Beach, WKRP in Cincinnatti, season 3 of Miaimi Vice, while they ARE releaseing a LOT of utter tripe from TV on disk, that I can't imagine anybody would buy.

I would really be keen to see The Invaders on DVD some time soon. I know you can buy bootleg copies on eBay but I would like to see an official release with remastered content and some special features.

TCM could probably get away with running Faster, Pussycat uncut - but certainly not De Palma's Sisters (my favorite De Palma film by the way - he hadn't had time to start repeating himself). Zombie's got good taste .
