Im hoping chris will start an indoor track here in medina sometime during the winter, even if it was an indoor oval or something like that, i'd race it.

Are most of the people in medina tied to the city? I go to medina to race. Oberlin to race. I plan on checking out Bumps when it opens also.
I have been to columbus, asthabula, and other places. Get some variety in your race schedule. Someone without transportation I understand.

you know...... I say the same.....get some variety in your race schedule........

Try: One up One down Raceway Outdoor Track(Rally cross style track)

last sunday 2 of the ashtabula racers came out and showed some support.....medina racers ??????

Warning:this is a rally cross type track....not like the baby smooth surfaces....like most tracks.......like the "post" said what's wrong with a little variety.....

P.S. Ashtabula racers had a blast.....last sunday....they ran buggys & truggys with no problems.......on a "rally cross style track"

we have just 2 more races left......

Oct 29,2006 (sunday)

Nov 12,2006 (sunday)

Ashtabula.......thank you......

I like a variety, so I'll be hitting bumps, cbus, and Ashtabula for some indoor action this winter if time premits.

I had hoped to race this past weekend at medina, but the turnout wasn't all that great, plus the jammin rtr died again :( I'm done driving until I get bodies for my new toys; which I hope to have the buggy body in time for opening day and bumps, with the truggy following right behind.

I run on-road oval in My cul-de-sac. LOL

I'll be racing saturday at Medina, weather permitting....i only got one battery pack for the rustler tho, so probably can only do one qualifier, then let it charge for the main...

Chris, think i can pay half price since i can only race twice? :-)

If you guys want, i can run the rustler in either buggy or truggy...if you dont mind losing to me that is, lol!

Also, i'm glued to medina cause i grew up racing there...occasionally traveled to race at the car show at the IX Center...it was tuff jumping and landing on a carpet track.

But yea, i live in medina, and am too lazy for a long drive....but if there was an on-road indoor track i might consider it. I really miss driving touring car, so i'd be willing to race one of those in the winter, budget permitting.

Have you ever been to the GATE? They just got new carpet and subfloor. A- class place to race.

The Halloween Classic is next weekend, sould be some great racing if anyone is interested in checking it out.

wheres that track at?

Southgate USA!!!

271 and rockside. is pretty close. Can't remember the name of the road it is on. Get off on rockside turn left go to the first major intersection and turn right. Go to the first light ( maybe second but I think first,it's the light after Arby's) and turn left, second drive on right old bingo hall.

Nice place, I need to get up there and say hi to the guys. Oh, and checkout the new subfloor!!!

I know that Hobbytown runs on Friday nights.

The GATE crew run on Sundays.

Check out the On-road threads here on HT.

There is ALOT of talent that run there, great place, and killer track layouts.

You should head down next weekend. The Classic has over 240 entrys, the best of the best will be there. I can't wait to race next weekend.

Yeah it is indoor.

They have been there for 3 or more years.

Hobbytown uses the track for Friday nights. I went and run a Hobbytown race a couple weeks ago, and I had a blast. They have that laid back feeling that you really don't get anymore.

Come Sunday, the big boys come out, killer racing.

You should check it out.

Oh, I don't know if they still have it, but they had a XXX-S that you could "rent" for the day. Check out the GATE thread, you can get more info there.

Chris, are you planning on racing saturday?

CRSMP5
10-18-2006, 09:47 PM
well capt tweek.. you have a date in nov and a date in dec for crcrc.. just let me know.. rember every 4 weeks from this sat ill be on way down.. so im thinking like nov 20st, then dec 18th or something.. but just look at calender and mark it off..

crcrc is hard as all.. LOL.. you hit the pipes a few times you get lapped..

those not willing to go try new tracks.. up_down guy, really miss out on new challenges.. sadly ive learned to deticate yourself to 1 place with 1 group o fpeople.. you never "learn" new things.. to go up against a group of peopl eyou never met, to run a track for the 1st time you learn so much more.. it becomes exciting.. ill have to rember your track for next season..

Weather is not looking good for Saturday.

Between the cooler temps and the "R" word we are probably looking like a no go. This weekend would be the last weekend we can race. Next weekend is the last legs of the triple crown up at Ryan's (he better have nice weather!)

I will look at the weather again when I get home but for now it is looking like a no go.

You are all welcome in Jefferson:
127 N. Elm St. Jefferson OH 44047
Sat. Doors open @9am With racing @10am for electric only.
Sat. Doors open @ 4pm with racing @5pm for nitro only.
As most people know, practice for nitro is when electric is done. Last year that was usually at 3pm. We will be running an electric weekday, we just have to figure out when that would be. It will either be tuesday or wednesday.

Try out the track and get some practice for the Triple Crown!

Mames
10-19-2006, 09:32 PM
i will be down in medina practicing if we dont not race have some mtor issues to figure out before the tripple crown race.

heres the problem maybe some one can help. this p3 i picked up last weekend, along with the broken fins on the head, leaks feul out of the top of the head button. leaks not matter what i do, have it off and cleaned and theres a ridge about half way down on the sealing surface perfectly round. looks to be the issue. now top the question should i run this motor with this condition, only seems to leak at full throttle and only blows a bubble when it does, but after a run i have a little residue on the head . worries it may suck air in since its blowing gas out???

Is it leaking near the copper gasket and did you try a new one?
If so I could recut the area in the lathe to give it a new surface,
A new head gasket should be added as this would raise the compression some.
Let me know.
