This casting got slammed pretty hard on the diecastpub board. I'll have to see it in person before I comment.

It was listed at $45 where I bought it . It isnt any worse than any other car in that price range .. The only major issue I saw is in the trunk . There is a 'wall' in the back, even with the rear trunk lid edge , so there is no room for a spare tire , which would go partly under the rear package shelf .. Everything else looked fine to me ... If this were a $100 car , I would expect more detail ...

For a under $50 product, I think Greenlight did a good job. There was a few issues (trunk seems o be the biggest) but overall at $34.99 (that is what we have it as) the casting is excellent. I compare this to the American Muscle at $37.99 range and Greenlight does win hands down.

Slammed on scale18 too. :( I guess I'll pass on this one for now.

That comparison isnt really a fair fight !! Auto Art cars cost 2 - 3 times as much as the Greenlight car ! The Greenlight mustang is a fine car for its price range .. And its a relativly new company , so give them a chance to improve their stuff .

Its not like the big screw ups that GMP did with a couple of their $100 + '67 Fairlanes -- Incorrect interior , incorrect trim , incorrect size redlines , incorrect hood scoops , incorrectly painted grille . All this on the first '67 Fairlane GT they did . The following cars were much better . Their latest Fairlane has several errors again !!

On a model that costs that much (over $100) , I expect them to be right !! Theyve been in business for quite a while now ... And made some really fine cars ...
Johnny Lightning has botched up several of their '66 / '67 Fairlanes too .
Research , research , research ....... Maybe contact a car club too ...

I know, but I'm very picky when it comes to 1:18 cars. I only buy a few a year now, and they have to be almost perfect to make it in my collection. I know it's not fair to compare with the Autoart, but RC2 can make a near perfect model in the $40 range (see 1967 Impala). I believe that was voted best 1:18 car of 2005, and it was competing against plenty of $1-200 cars.
