Hi KD,
when you found your IP started with 66. something this is your global or 'external' ip address. This isnt what your router is 'asking' for.
I find it strange that your router wants to no your computers IP address when its most probably using DHCP, so it already knows your IP, because the router has assinged it to your PC. Even if you have set a static ip on your PC the router doesnt usually need to be informed.. And i'd imagine if you set your pc to a static IP then you'd know what your IP is.
Anyway, To answer your question - how do i find my IP. well you didnt give us much information, so i'm going to just presume your on XP. Click the start menu and click run. type in cmd and click ok. Now type ipconfig /all then press enter. You should now be able to see something like IP Address . . . . . 192.168.1.2
However i'm guessing what your realling looking at is propbably under network setup in the router IP. where the local IP address will most probably be 192.168.1.1 <-- this is not your pc this is your router.

You should turn on DHCP and the router will assign IPs to your internal network at the starting number that you enter (I used 192.168.1.100). 192.168.1.1 is the router's internal IP; the external IP (how its known to the world) is received from your ISP.
