M11/Spectrum problem
Recently purchases an Airtronics M11 radio and a spectrum module and receiver for it (std grey spectrum Mod and receiver ) well Receiver loses power when i walk away from radio (4 cell use ) ? Any ideas anyone , maybe voltage too low (4 cell ) ? I have tried 2 diffrent receivers and two diffrent speedo's , same result ...also tried hookin up a 6 cell and got the same result , Do i have a radio setting messed up ?

Did you buy it new?
Is the antenna modded into the case? If it is take it apart and make sure the antenna wire has not been cut or pinched inside. I've used an m8 w/ spektrum and now I use a 3pk w/ spektrum (both older non-pro spektrum systems) on 4 cell 12th scale for 8 min runs with no problems.

Yeah it's brand new , like a week old ...did you mean molded into the case ? M11 factory antenna screws in and i tried it with it in and out but i havent taken the radio apart yet anyway

With 4-cell it is recommended to run the power capacitor for the spektrum. If it is a used unit, you will want to check out Spektrum's update website (http://www.spektrumrc.com/Articles/HobbyWire.aspx). There are instructions and pictures of how to re-route the antenna wire.
