I really am hooked on GL. I can't wait to see more of them. I was wondering if the idea of starting a GL club with a special club car for members has ever been kicked around?

I would join.
As far as what kind of perks you would offer to club members I would be upfront about what you actually will give. If it would just be a club car, then just say all you get for being a member is a club car. Failures to keep promises for example newsletters; makes members grumble. I think someone alluded to the hassle of clubs in another post.

i'd most likely join. as long as it structured completely different than the hot wheels red line club. that's a joke. in fact hot wheels is a joke now, just like nascar stuff is. i walk by them for the other brands now.

it would need to be well organized, and run efficiently. it can be done, and would have to be if greenlight matches the quality of the club with the quality of the diecast.

Where do I sign up?

I have a brand new display case that needs cars in it.

i would join under certain conditions. first of all, it would have to be reasonably priced.
2. the site must be easy to navigate without having any problems trying to log in.
3. the customer service must be knowledgeable unlike another collector club i have dealt with. they were useless and didn't even know how to navigate the site themselves and just blew me off when i had called them to notify them of a problem.
4. a club car is a must preferably a green machine
5. there should be a club store that offers special perks to club members! such as a discount on X amount of cars purchased or points for every car you purchase that can be used to receive special rewards such as a green machine or limited car.
6. if there is a club store, the cars must be reasonably priced. not higher than the average OLD. in fact, they should beat any OLD's prices.
7. if there is a club store, it should try to keep every car is stock for a due time.
8. members should be the first to hear news and see pics of new releases. not to find out on the net months or weeks before elsewhere.
9. keep members informed and treat them right! be open to new ideas and listen to what the fan base wants!

I would join. Would be nice to offer members offers to buy sealed cases from them. I have not seen any yet around here. I have seen alot of cool pics of them and i like what i see so far.

As a general rule, when a manufacturer sells their own product to the public, they sell at MSRP and do not intend to compete with their dealers and distributors. If they were to sell at or below their dealer and distributor's prices, they would soon lose all their outside outlets for their product.

Sealed cases are available from many of the OLDs that sponsor Hobbytalk

I would definitely be interested. The club ONLY cars need to be green machines! :)

Mac you could always do something. Make a club car that you only have access to. It could even be an existing casting that is a special color that only members get.

I would be interested. Would have to see the advantages of joining. Club car and any perks. Right now I don't see enough of the product at the stores to really excite me about it.
