Ed Riley (TRD Hobbies) has signed the lease and will be ordering carpet on Monday. This should take about a week and then track building will begin. In the mean time we will be prepping the floor, running power, track borders and drivers stand building, counting system, PA, etc. So when carpet arrives, we lay it and go practicing. The track will be open for the first Oval practice sessions as of November 1st (give or take a few days). There is a slight chance that the track may be ready sooner for practice but we are not counting on it. Because the carpet is brand new it will take a week or so to "groove" it in so we will not be racing on the first open weekend but just an open practice session.

TRD Hobbies located in Rockwell will be relocating to the track by December hence TRD Hobbies and Raceway. In time the track will support all forms of Oval, converted Oval, or TC racing with limited parts in the Hobbyshop (more inventory to follow). TRD Hobbies will also continue to support you off-road guys so don't worry.

As of right now we are not sure when the on-road track will be completed, but I promise you it will be very soon.

Big thanks to Ed for taking this BIG step into expanding TRD and opening a new racing venture for the WHOLE state of North and South Carolina.

Heard rumors the carpet has been installed...

We will be practicing on Friday night and all day Saturday. A few guys are making laps tonight but the Ice and infield will be installed later this week.

From what I have heard Saturday should have a large crowd. Mike Bush, Donnie Logan, a few more of the South Carolina bunch will be showing. Mike Russell, Eric Thomas, and a few of the Sandhills bunch will be showing. Arie Fie and a few of the CW crowd will be showing. And a bunch of Spec Trucks from all over will be there as well.

Is anybody going to be selling any parts this weekend.

I can hardly believe we have a really nice carpet track in our area, again. There's even a rumor of a Smith possibly making an appearance for Saturday. Too good to be true!

Tony, is there pit space's yet or do we need to bring tables and drop cord?

Tomorrow is just a test session and no thought on start time as of yet. More info on this will come in the future.

You will need to bring a table, chair, drop cord, pitlight, and power strip.

Our track is VERY close to the Snowbirds. We have not put a wheel on it yet to measure but the OD of the track is 35' x 98'.

Miller is not the one you have to worry about.................:)
