Hey guys, I know a lot of the dirt oval guys either race pan car in the winter, or find a place to race their edm's on carpet. My question is this, if you woned an edm would you be interested in racing on a banked carpet oval in the winter. and if you would, how far would you travel to do it?

That's what the guy who is forking out the money wants, I suggested going flat due to an easier touring car layout, but he wants something different that what everyone else is doing, something to make the track stand out.

There is still going to be a flat track in jamestown. Greg has decided to move from the goldstar building (well actually his lease ran out and they got kicked out), to another building right next door to the hobby shop in downtown jamestown. the track will be the same width as before, but about 20' shorter in length.

The track I am talking about is an entirely different facility. There are already talks of more tracks going in this spring, starting with an off-road track and large dirt oval.

I'd be up for trying it, but I don't live that far away from Jamestown.

If they do an outdoor dirt oval, I would suggest that they dont try to run on a weekend, but rather on weeknights. Most DO racers are also fans of 1:1 racing, which of course happens on weekends.
