I enjoy all types of internet videos and in a moment of weakness had to install quicktime to view "who knows what" and now quicktime has taken over all video playback. I do not like the player, so how do I get it to quit re-associating itself? If I get a vid to open in media player (changing the file type assiciation) the next time I reboot it opens in quicktime. Uninstalling doesn't work either. Please help, I hate to format but thats all i can think of. (WIN XP)

you could always uninstall windows media player then re-install it and set it to open all your videos, otherwise, if you right click on a video file, and go to the openwith menu, then pick choose program, then it will give you a seperate list of programs, hilight the one you want to use and check the box that says "alwasy use the selected program to open this kind of file" then say ok. that should fix it for ya.
Cheers
