Just thought I'd start a thread out under the track discussion.

Racing every Tuesday @6:30pm
Bill is going to try to run 1 saturday of every month. Nov 4th is the next weekend race being The Billy Bob Race #1.

This week Tuesday is the last week of practice before the points season starts next week. Racing starts at 7pm tomorrow, but next week Tuesday and there after will be starting at 6:30pm with 2 heats and a main(630/730 mains @830).

The track has an excellent groove in it, paragon is allowed. Track is about 2hrs from Oshkosh, and is about 45-50 mins south of Trackside. About an hour from Janesville.

The track is usually open for practice on Monday and all day Tuesday up until racing starts. Full hobby shop with food & soda at the track. Plenty of pit space with good lighting.

Hey everyone,

The racing season has officially been kicked off and so far the turn out has been GREAT!! Thanks to all you!!

We are racing 4 days a week here at His and Hers, which simply means that our traction NEVER goes away!!

Our current schedule is as follows:

Monday Night Oval Racing at 6:30pm We run 1/18, 1/12 (with NASCAR bodies) and of course our LEGENDS class. We now have 20 Legend cars that I know of and have 10-15 show up on any given Monday night. This is an absolute blast for everyone from beginners to the most experienced.

The 1/12th scale class is new on the oval for us and will be a 4 cell 19 turn class turning under 4 second laps!

There is usually about 25+ entries every Monday.

Tuesday Night Oval Racing at 6:30pm We run 1/10 scale Pan Cars and 1/10 Scale Touring Sedans and 1/10 Winged Sprint Cars on the Oval. Again, we have 15-18 currently showing up for our Tuesday night program.

Friday Night On-Road Racing at 6:30pm. We run 1/18, 1/12 and the Legends on Friday nights. This night is growing and we have just added the 1/12 scale 4 cell 19 turn class to our Friday night show.

Saturday Afternoon On-Road Racing at 5:30pm We run 1/10 scale sedans and 1/12 scale cars. We have a great night of racing and have already been seeing 25-35 cars per week showing up.

Here is a link to our website where you can get complete class rules and more information ( www.his-hershobbies.com ). Also in the racing information pages check out the links to the other discussion locations where our racers post regularly.

The track is open anytime we are open, so even daytime practice is available. We have long hours during the week and during the weekend so that you can make it out and enjoy yourself at YOUR convenience.

Make sure you come hungry when you come to race or practice with us as we have some great food in our snack bar.

If you haven't been up to race or play on our track, come on out and do so! We look forward to meeting you all and having you come and enjoy our facility.

Tuesday oval had some great racing in all classes, But to see oval racing that is this close Butch and Mike D each ran 82 laps in each qual, and were only 1.8 tenths apart after 164 laps of racing, this was some fantastic driving by both drivers.I was like the cars were hooked together with a 1-2 ft string, average lap times of 3 669 for both cars.

Fun night of racing last night! Track was fast last night with a couple of 83 lap runs. Thanks to Mr. Heft for making the trip, and congrats to Mike D for having an awesome run (83/4:01) even though he had some tough luck in the main.

Thanks Hays, Mike and I want to thank You and Cory for your help with our car. You had a great run also with a (83/5.03). Mike said he wishes he would have been able to finish the main, it would have been a good test for you and him. We are just glad to have a car that is working good so we can race with the " FAST GUYS"
I forgot Mike is talking alot now and said he thinks we is getting faster from those WEINEE SPECIAL / with Jalopano peppers. Thanks again to Bill and Crew for a fantastic track!!!...

As usual, these guys are pickin it up and puttin it down...... You know that you are in trouble when an 81/5:01 run doesn't put in the fast heat.....

Anyhow, thanks to all of you that made it down to run with us..... We are looking forward to next week already.

Stock pan car guys.... I have a couple that call me every week to see if there are any other stock pan cars showing up..... Come on out and run with us.

We are bringing our 13.5 car with us on a weekly basis, and working to get it race ready, Hays has his 13.5 car with him every week so we just need a couple more 13.5 cars for some fast, fun racing.

Will you run the 13.5 and 27 turn together Bill???...

Dave D

11-17-2006, 10:45 PM
So far what we have seen is that the 27 turns are a couple of tenths off the pace of the 13.5's Yes we would run them together to give the guys a place to run......

Of course that couple of tenths could be motor, battery or setup..... but not sure as we have only seen one or two 27 turns on the track so far this season.

Last night was another fast night of racing in the 4300 pro class, With only 3 drivers there was plenty of room for some good fast racing action. Mike D was TQ with an 83/5???. In the main Sully got the jump on the start but Mike kept the pressure on, with 4 laps to go Sully slipped on the ice and Mike was there to take anvantage of it and take the win. All 3 drivers ran 83 laps in the main with a seperation of 1.017 secs. That is some tight fast racing. Butch was the other driver there last night and also now ran an 83 lap main, nice job Butch!!!... I don't get to see much other racing but some close racing takes place in those classes as well.

how has the 13.5 turn out been? my work for the year is slowly comming to an end, hopefully i can start getting back over to k-town with-in the next few weeks.

brushless 13.5 vs. brushed 27 t

we did a little testing at my local track a few weeks ago about this topic, what we found was , the speeds are vary close--- for the first min. then after that you can vary clearly tell the differance, our test car with the brushed motor fell off about 3 tenths from start to finish lap 1 = 4.1 lap/// lap 78= 4.4.... test car with the 13.5 did not fall off at all in 5 min. lap 1 =4.1 // lap 81 = 4.1

dangerousdave
11-22-2006, 11:54 AM
We have not had many 27 turn cars on the new track. I am sure Bill would run 2 classes if there are enough cars but if we only get a few cars I think he would combine the 2 and see how it works out. From what we have seen the 13.5 doesn't fall off either. I know that Hays has a 13.5 car and Mike D has one, not sure who else has them or 27 turn cars because they have not been to the track yet. This track is flat fast and fun to race on with plenty of room for good clean racing. Bill and his crew do a great job every week to have a first class track for us to race on. Oh and don't forget about the "WEINEE SPECIAL" only in Kenosha can you get this taste treat!!!... For those of you that don't know what the "WEINEE SPECIAL" is you just need to get to the track and try one or two for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

We let him win so we didn't see him cry,you know how it is sometime you need to let the old racers win so they feel good again. Mike finished last with a 82/flat. We were trying new tire combos and springs. Things just didn't work as good as we had hoped but we learned a bunch. Only 2 cars so 2nd place is still last!!!...LOL

I talked to Bill tonight and he is willing to have Sunday Oval if there is interest in racing 1 or 2 times per month. On Sunday he has road course practice so it's not a big problem if we want to race he would set it up. Please call His and Hers Hobbies and give Bill some input as to when you would like to race there. Phone # is 262-551-7187. Bill does not want to cause a conflict with other tracks that are running on weekends, but he would like to have some more weekend oval races!!!...
I would be more than happy to race there on some weekends because it's only 20 mins from home not the regular 1-2 hour trip.
