Sonny B 10-08-2006, 08:46 PM CFEX Race Products will be the official sponsor for the first race of the BRL/ BSR Brushless Oval Tour. The “Showdown in Motown” will take place on October 28th and 29th at the CEFX Raceway just outside of Detroit Michigan.
CFEX Racing Products and CEFX Raceway are owned by 29 time National Champion Josh Cyrul and his wife Angel. The track area is 40 x 90 with a run line in the 165 foot range and a Martinsville style paperclip shape . In addition to a large open pit area the on-site hobby shop takes care of any of your parts concerns. The track side café will keep hungry racers fed and happy and hotels and restaurants are also just a few short minutes away.
A large turnout is expected so come and be a part of a history making weekend as the BRL kick’s off it’s inaugural season. C-ya there.

Sonny B 10-26-2006, 11:55 PM Looks like we are all set to go for the BSR Brushless Oval Tour kick off this weekend. Lots of phone call and e-mails today from guys who are excited and ready to go.
Just picked up the awards tonight and they are very sharp. Doug Canham has come up with a unique and very cool design for this weekend.
Dusty Kemp has also come thru with another one of his awesome T-shirt designs. They will be on-sale this weekend for just $20. We also have a handful of sweatshirts available as well. Remember all proceeds form the shirt sales got to the BRL point fund.
Guarantee Graphix is are official concourse award sponsor this season and Joe Marks has a very cool prize for the winner. Keep your fingers crossed that UPS delivers tomorrow because I think the winner is really going to like it.
Our sponsors have also donated some great raffle items for this weekend. One lucky winner will be one of the first in the country to receive with the new CEFX Racing Products Oval Kit. Don’t forget all proceeds from the raffle will be donated at seasons end to the Victory Junction Gang Camp.
No practice on Friday but you can set up your pit area until 9pm. Doors open at 8am on Saturday morning and then it time to Rock.
Should be some great racing and a lot of fun hope to see you there.

jbell31 10-31-2006, 09:47 AM I didn't race, but I will be soon. I had a good time watching all the oval guys racing like we used to. Compitition was close, and no dang Dynos to listen too. People were working on thier chassis setup and driving style.
Sonny, Josh, and Josh's family put on a terrific show. This kind of racing is going to bring new racers into the hobby, and the ones that got away from it will be looking to get back in.
Nice job everyone!!!
