I have a SS 5800 that I need to send back to Novack Then motor is fine but I want to put it in my truck where I have my GTB 6.5. On the wire tabs there are holes for the wires to be soldered into. I have tackeld this once before. When I cut the excess wire from the esc's. The other day I noticed that the wire tabs on the 13.5 motors are "U" shaped so you don't have to get everything just perfect to get the wire through the holes. Question............
Can I cut the wire tabs on other motors so they are like the ones on the 13.5? It looks like just a simple slice on each side of the hole with the dremel cutoff tool.

What do you think??

I think I would contact Novak before attempting something like that.

You don't need to use the holes. You can solder them right to the tab without cutting them. Just be sure the solder doesn't contact both tabs.

what i do is i get some connectors for park flyers that are heavy duty bullet connectors i solder these inline and when i want to change motors i just unplug one and plug the other in.
